Online is lalalalalalalala. All my button reactions are one second late. All the players take an extra touch and lose the ball. This whole lalalalaing game is a failure. I can't stand it, and the more I play the more angry I get. lalalala, even MW2 doesn't get me this lalalalaed haha, FIFA 10 is a disgrace.

i have the same problem i get so lalalalaed off cause i get beaten by players that i should b smashing 5-0 cause of the same reason as you, i press pass and it passes litteraly 2 seconds l8r, i also have a good internet connection,

Same problem here in around 75% of the matches. My connection is 5/1mbs. I have made a thread about this too many times, but it doesn`t solve anything, EA won`t/can`t fix it.

It's not actually that bad. When your in team selection, check the top right hand side for the lag bar. If your status is green you will get a lag free game. If not then you know your in for lag.
I've had one laggy game in 10. Happy with that.

Both players will experience the same lag.

So they obviously just adjust better to your latency heavy connection.

What is your SNR? What attenuation have you got? What is your data consistancy like?

Yip changed router settings sometimes its played ok but had loads of games that its pointless playing espcially lately players dont respond game glitches deflections of players straight to opponent EA are a disgrace ive changed broadband as i had problems before but still FIFA online is absolute failure but still EA say that FIFA and FIFA10 is a great game. Well ONLINE is part of it And offline can anyone from EA tell me why my sqauds keep going corrupt 15 to 20 times its happened and manager mode saves wont load EA GIVE US SOME ANSWERS

Same for me. Don't bother with fifa no more for the only reason it lags too much. How come MW2 doesn't lag, but fifa is unplayable the majority of the time. Sort it out next year.

Check if your opponent's connection is good before you ready up. If it's not, leave.

This should'nt happen. Atleast if you'r really talking about ONE second delay, and I do mean a whole second. Which is really long. I had problems
playing with friends in club mode, we lagged and the other side seemed
to have no probs atall and destroyed us, because we played like disabled
people (no offence).



With the older xbox dashboard, you could do a NAT test and it would pop
up Open, Modurate or closed (or something similair). Two of my friends
had their NAT forwarding broken. The router would forward xbox live ports
to an IP that wasnt even in use.

When these guys played, terrible lag happened, but using the test would
just give the OK, and they thought everything was ok.

Just double check if your forwarding 3074 TCP/UDP and 88 UDP to the xbox.
(double check these ports, not 100% sure)
You can still play, use voice etc. with a wrong setup, but freaky stuff
would happen.

Oh, when your in the club lobby, you can 'ready in' and out really fast. This should be in a flash, if its slower, your in for a laggy game..

Lag is especially infuriating if your playing clubs because your teammates will be relying on you to pass/shot/tackle but it can be impossible with lag.

Thats not the way it works though?

The reason I say that is both consoles have to run the same instructions meaning that your inputs need to be sent to his and vice versa. So he would see your "lag" and you would see his.

I can skill move in very ropey laggy conditions...........just ask my team mates in Clubs

I could be wrong, but inorder to stop the ball just "appearing" in places for one player the game deliberately shows both players the same thing at the same speed.

personally the latency bars dont mean nothing to me, they can be geen but when i start lag kicks in...
i lag against germans and spanish...

internet speed does not determine lag,ping is the issue..
most of the time ur isp will cap u at peak hours(adjust ur ping rate) so its worth doing a ping test at pingtest.net and c what variations u get at different times of the day.....

u can always quit b4 5mins if u have lag.

i totally agree that the ea servers are messed up but unless u have tried other solutions first u cannot point the blame

That's WAY above the minimum requirement for lag-free gaming.

The difference in responsiveness and speed between ranked and unranked matches tells me that EA's 'monitoring' of ranked matches is akin to filtering all the data through a firewall, leading to sluggish games.

I reckon until EA revise and improve their net code or change how they monitor games then this problem will persist through FIFA 11 and beyond.

as for you, Im in aussie too and you again go to lobbies and only play ustralians and NO lag, zero....

i dont get any lag with fifa 10 (well, i do sometimes but not enough to be put off by). must be your connection. MW2 lag is very rare for me.
EA can't sort it out. it's down to the players connection in the end.
If you really want a laggy game. get gears of war 2, i suppose after i play this, fifa 10 on dial up wouldn't feel laggy.

I just don't understand why people buy the game and immediately take it online looking for something new. When me or the other player wins, I don't consider either, a challenging victory. Players just run past and your player reacts so sluggishly. I mean, when I enter online game modes, I'm basically reserving the right to play multiple steps behind my true potential in offline game modes. Its like I'm voluntarily allowing my fifa 10 skills to be corrupted by poor response by the players.
