Default Problems with head-to-head online match-ups? *Read This*

Hi everyone,

I have been asked to try and compile some specific information from you if you are having trouble connecting to other people and finding matches in the online head-to-head mode.

Could you please list the following for me so I can create a report and send it back to the FLT and Online guys over in Canada.

- What ISP are you with / what package (up / down speed limits, transfer limits, static or dynamic IPs)

- What modem / router are you using with make, model and firmware update number where possible

- Location (country and city)

- Location (country and city) Cheshire Barnton (NEAR NORTHWICH)

- What error message you receive and where; the game mode (ranked, unranked, lobby play etc), the error message you receive when trying to find or connect to a game, how often this occurs and how long before this appears (i.e. before the team select screen, on the team select screen being unable to select teams)

before team selection is allowed by oponent, takes about 30 sec to 1min to 90 seconds before error is "game session no longer available" also cannot play any friends get this same error

- What time of day does this happen the most tbh all the time but can be worse in the evenings...... SORRY I TAKE THIS BACK ON NOW 2PM AND I CANT CONNECT TO ANYONE "Game Session No longer Available " staring me in the face at 2pm so i get this error anytime of the day now

Ranked pro match... Game session is no longer available after waiting a while to connect, or sometimes it loads up with all the users in and i select side and for some reason my GT comes up as someone elses and then shortly after i get game session no longer available.


- What time of day does this happen the most For me its 5pm-11pm when i'm home from work, and i don't bother trying at weekends anymore.

Error message - Your game session has timed out
When - On the team select after it asks me to update the squads
This occurs in any Head to Head option (both Head to Head online and FIFA Interactive World Cup) I am able to play Pro Championship mode.

- What time of day does this happen the most

After going on head to head, ranked match, before team selection. "game session no longer available" or "your opponent has left the match".. this happens like 30 seconds after waiting for the teams.. it like freezed during this screen.

Every single time.. have to try up to 5 times before i get a game going

= Game session no longer available . when i play head to head , sometimes it drops before match starts when you select team , mostly it drops after the game has started it can be after 1 min. after first halv .. its randoom.
=Connection to EA server has been lost ..somthing like that,dont remember exctly the words after Game session no longer available when i drop back to arena.

Tried to connect with and without the Router attached.
Broadband Modem - Embarq Zyxel 660R ASDL modem
Wired router - Trendnet TW100 S4W1CA Ver F latest firmware

Minnesota, USA

Appears on ranked head to head matches in the vast majority of attempts to connect. It stops at the team select screen and players are unable to select a team(if away team), then it comes up Game session no longer available. It also comes up in any 1v1 matches ranked or unranked and again I'd say 95% of the time I can't connect. I bet I have only connected to 20 online games in the past 2 weeks. Team play works fine though but I did experience a couple disconnects also.
I did notice on the head to head games I did get connected to, my latency was just 1 'red bar', but when I'm in a lobby trying to find a game I have a latency of '3-4 full green bars'.

Tried to connect early morning, noon, evening and after midnight.

Ranked matches 1 vs 1 only has issue, no problems with Pro clubs. have only been able to connect to a match once and that lost connection, every other time getting "session no longer available".

- What modem / router are you using with make, model and firmware update number where possible - Not using modem, using CNet switch, and LAN cable straight into wall outlet.

- Location (country and city) - Norway/Oslo

- What error message you receive and where; the game mode (ranked, unranked, lobby play etc), the error message you receive when trying to find or connect to a game, how often this occurs and how long before this appears (i.e. before the team select screen, on the team select screen being unable to select teams) - When playing online ranked match, I get "this game session is no longer available" when on the team selection screen. Get this 50% of the time.

When being invited by friends, the same happens, about 50% of the time.

When inviting friends, game freezing on the team selection screen. Says "waiting for opponent" and my friends get the "game session no longer available"

- What time of day does this happen the most - I usually play evenings and late nights (GMT +1) and as I said it happens to about 50% of the games.

- What modem / router are you using with make, model and firmware update number where possible - Netgear Router - Not sure of the model but its just a standard router, I use it wired but it has wireless function. Also it has the latest firmware.

- What error message you receive and where; the game mode (ranked, unranked, lobby play etc), the error message you receive when trying to find or connect to a game, how often this occurs and how long before this appears (i.e. before the team select screen, on the team select screen being unable to select teams) - When I try to do a head to head match most of the time it puts me in with a user but neither of us can change teams and after a minute it says "Game session no longer available"

- ISP - BT option 3 - I have static IP for my PS3 and DMZ to that IP

- BT Home hub (white one)

- Location England - Lincolnshire

- "Game session no longer available" at the team selection screen, doesnt matter where you go from, lobby, quick ranked or invite.

The home team can select their team but the away team has to wait for the connection. Then after 10-20 seconds it will go "game session no longer available" happens too often to care about the exact ratio

- What modem / router are you using with make, model and firmware update number where possible - LinkSys Router - wireless router

- Location (country and city) -Singapore , Asia

- What error message you receive and where; the game mode (ranked, unranked, lobby play etc), the error message you receive when trying to find or connect to a game, how often this occurs and how long before this appears (i.e. before the team select screen, on the team select screen being unable to select teams) - During a head to head match selection screen, it puts me in with another user but neither of us can change teams and after a minute it says "Game session no longer available"....occurs VERY OFTEN NOW! Happened only 10% of the time with FIFA 09.

- What time of day does this happen the most - Whenever I play it
