Same problem as others.

There are 2 messages the one I see mostly is "Game session no longer available" but the second one is "Your opponent has left the match"

It appears that there is something wrong in the match making. It assumes we can connect when clearly we cant.

It takes about 15 attempts to find a game. And then usually its against some idiot. Throughly depressing way to spend an evening. Its worse than clubs last year in that respect.

I would guess this is because I am playing more "hardcore" FIFA gamers who would of taken steps to ensure that the right ports are open etc.

Hi, thanks to everyone that has provided their configurations. This has now been escalated and we will be attempting to get hold of some of the routers giving problems and see if we can directly replicate and understand this a bit better.

For all those that have posted, I would ask that you PM me your email addresses (if you want to) so that we have the option to potentially start 1-to-1 dialogue and gain additional details or ask you to test specific things.

Thanks for taking this more seriously now. I am bit miffed as to why a game should be causing problems for specific router setups and is not just designed to work globally for everyone. It is only Fifa10 that causes the problems, no other games, not the PSN and not Fifa09 so surely it is something in the game programming and not the user setup that is the problem. However, if discussing the individual setup helps you to determine the problem with the Fifa10 coding, following which you will release a patch to fix the problem (which you will wont you?), then I'm sure we're all happy to help.

I have to wonder how many other people this affects that don't post on these forums. This thread alone has identified the problem as being global and affecting both consoles.

HEY EA i got fifa 09o working ok and then after fifa 10 came out it started with same issue

now look what i found you had same issues with fifa 08 different folk xbox and ps3 also same thing all other games ok not fifa 09 did you fix it then it broke again>

???

did you fix it then it broke again???? only reason i ask is my fifa 09 was fine untill this started on fifa 10 now fifa 09 id doing the same thing as my fifa 10

NOTE (IMPORTANT!): If I choose a custom ranked match this happens MUCH LESS, about 20% of the time and if I CREATE a custom ranked match, it happens about 10% of the time!

EA-Pwride, I just read your post on the devs threads where you say that it appears that one player "backs out" of games. Ok, I can accept this happening once or twice, but 4 out of 5 matches?

Plus the issue of being unable to play friends kind of crashes the "impatience" idea. I have sat on the phone to people waiting to play. We have tried 10 times in a row....nothing at all. It seems that some people can connect to some people all the time, but can't connect to others at all.

Strangest thing is that Team play works fine!

It's 100% not about people backing out of games. I'm in an online league and I can connect to 4 of the players, and we can connect all the time whenever we want. But the rest of the league I can't connect to. I've tried at least 30 times with one of them. Tried through the friends league, tried just inviting him on "play a friend", tried him inviting me in and outside the league. Nothing. We also tried to join a party first, but it said unable to join party, check internet connection to the one who was invited. It's not about people being impatient, it's not about routers etc. The game is somehow broken and you have to fix it.

Before team selection is allowed by oponent, takes about 30 sec to 1min to 90 seconds before error is "game session no longer available" also cannot connect to any of my friends, they get this same error

- What time of day does this happen the most I get this all the time, I just keep on joining head to head matches till it finally connects with someone after like 15 20 minutes..i noticed i connect faster with german players..

When I try to connet with a friend in a "mode online" to play a match, the screen stay in the teams selection, and after 1 minute, appear the error message "The season have been terminated", and return to the main menu. Which is the problema? We have all ports open, and activated the uPnP.

- At the team selection screen, I always get the message "Game session no longer available". I usually can't choose my team either, and neither can my opponent.

- All the time.

P.S. I also have PES 2010 and I have no problems with playing that online. Shame really, as it is a terrible game compared to FIFA 10.

btw is this also happening with any of you who have a NAT1 setting?

even though i'm in DMZ, are the port numbers correct in the manual?
in my eyes, TCP 42100 is out of sequence with the rest of numbers, anybody else agrees?
