Who is the best type of player to buy if you are managing a team in the Championship?

Who is the best player to sign who is very young, fairly good, and fairly cheap? I need a player who can help me into the Premiership, and make him good so I can sell him for a massive amount of money. ( I am starting my first season)

Ben Sahar, Gai Assulin are my 2 favs, of course i'm a bit biased.

Anyone on Barca youth side is a sure bet. Check out the new Dos Santos. Maurice Edu builds up high in the midfield, he is on Rangers. Brad Guzan on Aston Villa is a solid bet for young keeper.

I bought this striker called maldonado from xerez for about 2 mil. He starts out very low 70s and I got him up to 79 at the moment in 1 season. He has been my playmaker and scorer with 12 goals 11 assists with 4 weeks left in the season. I think his worth now is almost 5 mil.

Joe Ledley and Ricky Lambert are two must haves if you're trying to build a team up to make it into the EPL. Two pretty good english players.

Sotiris Ninis - RM -75
Plays for Panathinaikos and he's 19 i think. I'm Celtic and i got him for 1.5m right at the start of manager mode. He get's a game every couple of matches and he's damn quick for a youngster. He should wreck the Championship.

It is tough when you are not in the big leagues lol but I am eyeing Jesus Navas from Sevilla for my RM when I get there.

Nathan Delfouenso of Aston Villa. Very quick, young forward with good strength and finishing also.

Quality player who signed for my Notts County team in League One and in his second season is rated at about 79.

Fairly cheap too. A level up from Beckford of Leeds, also good if you're a bit lower on cash.

For me he's on roughly £3500 give or take a few hundred. Because he's so young he won't expect alot of wages. Hope you can get him, he's worth it.

HUGE target man (6ft9!) and very strong. His overall rating isn't great, but don't be put off by that, he's a beast!
He isn't young, but should be very cheap.

The best young players with low wages are mostly found in South America. Most of the players in the big leagues (England, Spain, Italy, etc) wages are too high to sustain.

If you can, try and sign young (16-18yo) players for 5 years so you don't have to increase their wages. I don't have exact figures because they are different between the PC and next-gen but these are the best young attackers I've found with the lowest transfer / wage
