You may or may not have noticed the first, original thread for this. It was originally started by dave797, but some slight complications have lead to the creation of a new thread. If you'd like to read through the original thread, then take a look at the reference section of this post.
(The following extract is take from dave797) Had a minor brain wave in another thread about this years custom tactics, whilst removed this year for online there is still quite abit of work to be done to get teams playing like they do in real life offline. So well we're the community so why don't we do it? We claim to know the most about our beloved local or favourite teams so lets put some hard evidence together, to improve everyones offline gaming this year and maybe the whole game for next year. What you need to do: 1) Decide on a team to customize 2) Post in the thread, the team you'll be taking on and how you think they should play. 3) Get to work experimenting with different custom tactics. 4) TEST them alot, you'll need to test playing as your team and against them to see how realistic the tactics are. 5) Finally post the custom tactics values in the thread for the whole forum to use! Then hopefully we can come up with a forum modified custom tactics engine thats true to life and gives us all a better playing experience for MM and offline game modes. We all want the AI to be realistic so lets see if we can do it!! I hope this thread will essentially run itself and everyone can chip in with ratings and opinions on eachothers work. But keep it friendly guys if you dont agree with some tactics then just give your reasons. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Of course, there's a bit more to it. We have certain rules that must be followed in order to ensure that this runs runs in an organised fashion. 1. Only one person at a time can work on a tactic. You are allowed to give feedback and run your own tests, but all possible changes has to be made by the original creator. (This way, we don't get someone changing things and then presenting it as their own tactic, when that simply isn't the case.) 2. When reporting with feedback, try to avoid posting the whole tactic. List possible changes and give your reasoning. (We'll avoid unnecessary clutter this way as well as multiple tactics being posted at once.) 3. If you want to post these tactics on your own website, then you must credit the creator and the helpers. To do this, we request that you have the following lines near the tactic: "This tactic was created by *whoever made it* and was tweaked based on the feedback from *list of members who gave feedback*. (We don't want the wrong people getting credited for someone else work). 4. Please avoid discussion about any of EA's failings, because that is not the purpose of this thread. (Because there are thousands of other threads for that )5. Please do not post asking for us to do a tactic for a certain team. (Let's be honest, it gets annoying when someone repeatedly asks for a Roma tactic) 6. Feedback must be constructive and you must back up your opinion with evidence and/or reasoning. (We've had a couple of occasions where someone has said this and that is wrong without telling us why) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is a list of completed tactics thus far: English Premier League: Arsenal Aston Villa Blackburn Bolton Wanderes Burnley Chelsea Everton Fulham Hull City Liverpool Manchester City Manchester United Portsmouth Stoke City Sunderland Tottenham Hotspur West Ham United Wigan Athletic Wolves Eredivisie: Ajax AZ Alkmaar FC Twente PSV Eindhoven sc Heerenveen La Liga: Barcelona Real Madrid Sevilla Villareal Bundesliga: Stuttgart Wolfsburg Seria A: Genoa Fiorentina Lazio AC Milan AS Roma Inter Milan Juventus Ligue 1: Bordeaux LOSC Lille Metropole Olympique de Marseille Olympique Lyonnais Toulouse Turksish League: Besiktas Fenerbache Galatasaray Liga Sagres: Sporting CP Porto Benfica Swiss League: FC Zurich Austrian League: Rapid Wein ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Currently, we are working UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE teams and UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE teams. Here is a list of teams being done at the moment: Standard de Leiege - ClockEndHD Hertha Berlin - ClockEndHD Hamburger SV - ClockEndHD La Liga General Tactics - seanflannery Sampdoria - mafgineau Udinese - mafgineau ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Vancancies: (Champions League): Rangers FC (Europa League): AC Sparta Praha (Prague) AEK Athens FC Athletic Club Bilbao CD Nacional Celtic FC Club Brugge KV FC Basel 1893 Kobenhavn FC Salzburg FK Austria Wien FK Ventspils Genoa CFC RSC Anderlecht SK Slavia Praha (Prague) Werder Bremen References: The Big Fifa10 Custom Tactics Project The Realistic Tactics Project Website Guide to Custom Tactics Photoshop Template - Rapidshare Photoshop Template - Multiupload GIMP Template - Multiupload ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll update this post with any details necessary. For now, make sure you abide by the rules and most of all, have fun creating tactics for the better good of the Fifa world! Last edited by JEinchy; 30-10-2009 at 02:33 PM. |

Nice. Take Wolves out of completed tactics and into Work in Progress though. I believe SuperSubED is working on them.
Also, I would suggest putting up a list of all Champions league and Europa League teams, so that you can add name as people decide. I am also working on some generic tactics. |

Take my site out of references. I've decided that graphics just take too long. For now I'll just PM Lenuam all the graphics that I've updated so he can add them, and hopefully this will mean I can work on some more generic tactics. Yeah, so add me as generic tactics being worked on.
I'm not going to delete my site just in case Lenuam's site has a crisis at some point

Are these all completed, ClockEndHD?
If completed means tried and tested, yes. I finished the templates one week ago and have been playing with them in Exhibition Mode and Manager Mode, making tweaks along the way. Had my mates over last night and they thought they were pretty good. The only one I'm not completely sure of is PSV, but all in all I'd say these are pretty much completed. I'm really certain they're all accurate because with me living in Holland I get exposed to our lalalalaty league every week...

Is anyone here on PS3? Cos I was thinking it would be nice once the PL was done for someone to upload their updated squad file with all the tactics we've completed so far, to save others spending hours manually changing them all.
You may also want to add these to the OP Photoshop Template - Rapidshare Photoshop Template - Multiupload GIMP Template - Multiupload

![]() Another idea - create our own forum! I could more than easily set it up, and it could be pretty basic but decent. Different threads for different leagues etc? Good idea or not? |

In that case, why not? It can't do any harm, I suppose.
In regards to the Birmingham tactics: am I right in assuming that they play 4-5-1, look to pass long to the wings who then feed in Benitez, and that they look more for defensive stability then attacking play. Judging from their opta stats, they have a small amount of shots and successful passes so that's the conclusion I draw from it. |
