Just vary your play and pick a team and stick to it so you get used to formations.

By vary your play, don't always play the ball that's the easiest as people read it straight off.

Also give yourself a chance when picking teams.

yeah it usually takes me about 20 game mins to find out how someone plays and I usually deal with it. On a few occasions I have been hammered by someone and I have replayed them (as I have realised how they play) and then beat them 3-0.

Or go into the game ultra defensive try and not to worry about scoring just try to not concede

I was on a 8 game losing streak two days ago and I ended the night hating FIFA 10! Even posted a thread complaining about it on here lol

Last night it all seemed to come together though and I was destroying people J

You can’t play the same game that you did in FIFA 09. In FIFA 09 I scored most of my goals by playing through balls to Ronaldo who would outrun defenders to the goal. This is a lot harder to do in FIFA 10. For a start passes aren’t as assisted and you will often pass it straight to the other team. Secondly, you are unlikely to outrun a defender now when you have the ball.

Most importantly however, in FIFA 10 defenders can easily barge you off the ball. They will just run into you and bump you out the way. This can obviously be very frustrating.

So basically you have to change your game plan. Make sure that you can see the player you want to pass to and actually aim the pass in their direction. Try and get the ball to players such as Messi and play down the wing. Try and skip past the first defender and sprint away with the ball. You can either go for the cross ball or run diagonally at the box looking for the pass or the shot.

I’ve found that this game is a lot easier to play when you are winning. You can relax more and look for the passes or the opportunities. If you are frustrated then you will lose control and probably lose more goals. Try to relax and if you get beat you get beat. After all it is only a game, albeit a great won that we want to win.
