Problem joining friends league

Hello all, this is my first post on this forum so be gentle

I am having some trouble trying to join a friends league. I have found the league I want to join, but when I try to join it I get a pop-up message saying this:

"A PlayStation®Network Account limitation does not allow you to use this feature."

The only option I then have is to press "OK" but I have no idea what this limitation is or how to remove it.

Any help would be much appreciated.
