I can't connect to friends! Help!

Hello,

So, I decided to purchase Fifa for the first time since RTWC...and guess what? The online appears broken.

Whenever I invite someone from my Friends list, they eventually get the message 'the game session is no longer available'. This also happens when I try and join their game. I dont have any issues playing random people online - and neither do they - but upon trying to play each other the game bottles it.

It's worth pointing out that I've never had issues playing other games online, whether it be on the PS3 or 360. I have never encountered a problem connecting to friends on any other game and thus I doubt its a port issue. Fifa is the first game in 6 years to present me with a problem.

I shall inevitably be purchasing the new Pro Evo when it comes out and as such would like a solution to this problem - or I may as well just trade it in.

Apart from this, the game is actually quite good. Not a fan of the player stats layout, or indeed the graphical representations of various players, but certain aspects of the game play are good.

One issue I have found is that players don't feel as 'individual' as they do on Pro Evo. For example, Rooney doesn't feel that much better than when controlling a random championship striker. The dribbliling mechanics could also do with tweaking, as its practically impossible to out pace most CB's - even with Aaron Lennon.

Anyway, enough ramblings. Could someone please offer me some advice about this problem. I really want to play online with my mates!

due to people moaning about strikers being so fast.. anyway are you inviting him from the ranked play now menu area? cause it hasnt ever worked for me when i do it from my player hub

I have tried inviting him in every way possible - including setting up a league. It just wont work and I get the same annoying error. It doesnt make sense that we can both play against randoms but not against friends we invite.

check NAT type mate. im in the same boat with just playing ranked matches. i can only play about 1 in 5. driving me insane

I have the same problem as the OP. It's nothing to do with us. The answer is: Playing with friends is broken for some people, and not for others. In an update I hope for this issue to be fixed, but until then, we can't play with friends, which really sucks, as friends are people we want to play with.

if your friend and you are in the same lobby it works then if you invite them. its been the same wiv me when i invite friends thru mu hub
