Default FIFA 10 PAL and NTSC

Right, so I figured you guys would know and I searched and didn't find any answers.

Is there anyway a PAL (UK) FIFA 10 will work with my NTSC Xbox?

If the U.K. xbox version has no region protection, you can use it as long as your xbox uses a HDMI cable to your LCD HD TV. Otherwise, the usual component cables cannot read the signals properly.

How do you tell if it has no region protection?

The game itself is region locked... if it was region free then whats the point of releasing the NTSC version of the game on Oct 20

Yes, the frustration with U.S. or UK xbox 360 titles do not state if they are region protected. There are some websites or vendor websites that list if UK or US xbox 360 titles are region protected or not. You can type "FIFA 10 XBOX 360 region protection" on google search as one possible way to find these sites listing all region free xbox games. I personally use a Japanese xbox NTSC xbox 360 and have various U.S. and UK xbox games and are playable on my xbox, although through a HDMI cable connecting the xbox to the LCD TV. For example, last night I bought an import BATTLESTATIONS PACIFIC and MIDWAY U.K. PAL xbox 360 titles, and they work fine on my Jpn xbox. Good luck. (I also ordered FIFA 10, but for PS3 because, just like you, I worry FIFA 10 UK xbox version may be region locked.)

Previous FIFA PAL UK games, such as EURO UEFA 2008, were not region locked. I know because I have that game and it plays on my Jpn NTSC xbox 360. A store vendor once told me even though some games are supposed to be "region locked," many UK and U.S. xbox 360 games are actually region free. (As for PS3 games, all games in the world are region free so far).

Yeah you too !!!
What does the region lock have to do with EA ?!
It is regulated by the console manufacturer. If you don't like it then don't buy it.

i think microsoft gives the game manufacturers the choice to have it region locked or not, so EA did have the choice in the end if what i think is true. waiting over here tho in the states for the release sucks there's a huge difference between release dates compared to europe wonder why .

It would nice if we could the version we want regardless. The N. American version includes only French, Mexican Spanish, and English. What should I do if I want either German or Portugues?

Just a question, but is there any difference between NTSC and NTSC-J?
