Default FIFA10 Retail and University Tour

Hi everyone,

For those in the UK you might be interested to hear that FIFA10 will be making appearances across the country at Tesco and Asda stores along with a number of University campuses.

The retail stops will be PS3 only but the University stops will be PS3 and 360 combined. I have also been told that there will be tournaments with prizes happening at the University campuses but you will need your student ID (for that university) in order to take part.

Check below for the dates and locations and pop along for some FIFA10 goodness.

Tesco Stores:

Friday 2nd October - Burdlesdon (Southampton) and Watford
Saturday 3rd October - Borehamwood
Sunday 4th October - Baldock and Warrington
Friday 9th October - Sandhurst
Saturday 10th October - Brooklands (Weybridge)
Sunday 11th October - Newport and New Malden
Thursday 15th October - Stockton
Friday 16th October - Bar Hill (Cambridge) and Shoreham by Sea
Saturday 17th October - Peterborough and Brighton
Sunday 18th October - Huntingdon, Cardiff, Hastings and Newcastle
Friday 23rd October - Birkenhead
Saturday 24th October - Southport

Asda Stores:

Saturday 3rd October - West Bridgford (Nottingham), Havant, Govan (Glasgow) and Huyton (Liverpool)
Sunday 4th October - Leicester, Eastleigh and Livingston
Friday 9th October - Great Bridge (Birmingham), Swindon and Leeds
Saturday 10th October - Tamworth, Patchway (Bristol) and Pudsey
Sunday 11th October - Dudley and Pilsworth (Manchester)
Friday 16th October - Swansea and Peterlee (Durham)
Saturday 17th October - Cardiff and Gateshead
Friday 23rd October - Wigan
Saturday 24th October - Eastlands (Manchester)
Sunday 25th October - Sheffield and Walton (Liverpool)
Thursday 29th October - Kingswood (Hull)
Friday 30th October - Hessle (Hull)
Saturday 31st October - Grimsby

University Campuses:

Tuesday 6th October - Reading (3sixty bar)
Wednesday 7th October - Buckinghamshire New Uni
Thursday 8th October - ULU
Friday 9th October - Sussex
Monday 12th October - Aston
Tuesday 13th October - Derby
Wednesday 14th October - Nottingham
Thursday 15th October - Loughborough
Friday 16th October - Staffordshire
Tuesday 20th October - Bristol
Wednesday 21st October - Bath
Thursday 22nd October - Gloucestershire
Friday 23rd October - Worcester
Monday 26th October - Bolton
Tuesday 27th October - Huddersfield
Wednesday 28th October - Bradford
Thursday 29th October - Sheffield

For the University stops it may be worth checking for information around your campus as to the venue and times.

Enjoy.

What is happening at ASDA and Tescos? Is it just going to be a stall set up to play a game or two on?

I have had no say over which locations are being used, that has probably been determined by Tesco / Asda for the store tour and in conjunction with an agency for the Uni tour.

There will be stands at the Asda / Tesco stores which you can just walk up to and play on. Not sure what other activities they have planned but this is more a heads-up in case you are planning on going shopping.

As I said, the locations are nothing to do with me. These are being done in partnership with Tesco / Asda and with the Universities. If some of the Universities didn't want to do it then there is nothing we can do and likewise Tesco / Asda probably picked which stores they wanted the tour to be at.

Will there be any mini competitions at the supermarkets? Or limited edition FIFA goodies such as posters or version of the game?

Will it be possible to win the game at the supermarket before buying it?

Also is there any heads up on what times the FIFA team will get to each place and what time they will leave?
