Live Season 2.0 Dev Feedback

Hi Guys,

Got a reply from the Dev Team in my email this morning to the questions you posed yesterday following the announcement of Live Season 2.0 and myLiveSeason so here goes:

- Is there going to be a standard January update and will it be free or is the purchase of Live Season a pre-requisite?
[MK] Yes, we have planned for a January update –there is a new flow in FIFA 10 that allows users to get the transfer updates for free even if they have not purchased Live Season 2.0. A menu option called “Download latest squads” will do the trick.


- Will there be commentary updates each week to sync with the match results and other updates?
[MK] No.


- What is the relation between LS2.0, MLS and Interactive Leagues?
[MK] LS2.0 is the main feature, MyLS is a game mode that’s part of that feature – IL is cut.


- Will cup matches be included in LS / MLS such as the FA Cup?
[MK] No, just league games.


- Will there be season end trophy presentations / celebrations?
[MK] Unfortunately not.



- What are the severity of stats changes each week and how are you measuring changes like speed / acceleration (criticism these have been too drastic previously)?
[MK] We have tweaked the impact and will display the effect the form change has on the individual attributes as well this year.


- Does the weekly update include cosmetic changes of players i.e. new haircuts?
[MK] No.


- Does the LS stats update affect other game modes like MM?
[MK] No.


- The 5 match trial, whether this it to see the LS stats updates or the ability to replay the matches (MLS) and whether these two are intrinsically linked / the same thing?
[MK] You can play 5 games of the game mode “My Live Season” as that is the new feature for Live Season 2.0 and people will want to know what it is all about.


- When you replay the matches from the previous week is that against a CPU opponent or someone online playing as the real world team in the fixture?
[MK] Against the CPU level of your choice.


- Is this linked to online play in any way?
[MK] No, this is a cloud mode that links online functionality (downloading the latest and greatest stats) and offline functionality (playing against the CPU).

So there you go, essentially the free trial replaces the free league from last year as you now get to actually "replay" matches from the league rather than just see the stats updates and it doesn't affect your other game modes but it does mean there is no Interactive League unfortunately.

i just don't see how that live season is worth the extra money, it's not like we can't play these match in MM only that the schedule is difficult and that there are no stats boost and decrease for each team not to mention there are no cup competition like the FA cup or the UCL

But you didn't ask my question which was the first one in the other thread:
When players get injured will they be unable to play or will they play straight down in form? Please get an answer to that PWride. Same goes for red cards IRL...

A little off topic, but now this is stickied we have rather a lot of sticky threads again. I presume that you EA people will also add another sticky about the demo later on. Any chance some more can be moved to the 'threads of interest' and unstickied?

Yes, I will look at moving some of the stickied threads, although there is a separate sub-forum for feedback on the demo when it is released.

Nothing in those answers bothers me other then no league cup games. That is a bit disappointing. But not the end of the world.

With what you have stated there ti seems even less worth it in my opinion.
