Default Live Season 2.0 & myLiveSeason Feedback Thread

Hey everyone,

So here is the official feedback thread for the Live Season 2.0 announcement we have just released. I know a number of you were hoping for information on new clubs and leagues but I think the new twist included in Live Season 2.0 is pretty cool and as I mentioned adds another type of "gameplay" to the game.

To quote a couple of snippets from the press release again;

Quote:
The new My Live Season premium service in FIFA 10 will featureweekly updates of player form, transfers, injuries, suspensions, fixtures, results and league standings, creating a mode that mirrors the real world, where gamers play their favourite real-world teams’ games in complete authenticity in any of the following leagues: Barclay’s Premier League, La Liga BBVA, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A and Mexican Primera Division. The game mode enables you to visually track your results against real life as you progress.

“Every Wednesday is Live Season day where dynamic real-world data and analytics will be updated in FIFA 10 to match the weekly rhythm of real-world football and subscribers will have the chance to rewrite their clubs’ history,” said David Rutter, producer of FIFA 10.

My Live Season is available for the PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360. The service is valued at a recommended retail price of£3.99 for the ongoing season on PlayStation Network and 400 points on Xbox Live Marketplace for each individual league. A package of all leagues will be available for the recommended retail price £7.99 for the ongoing seasonon PlayStation Network and 800 points on Xbox Live Marketplace.

So as an extension to last season (from what I understand) you can now actually replay the real world matches yourself using the real world form, formation and players from your favourite team and try to better the result.

The guys over at FootballWorld have posted a blog from one of the development team involved in creating Live Season 2.0 and have included a number of screenshots to try and highlight some of the new features.

As always, this thread is to act as a place for constructive feedback so that we can feed it back to the development team so please don’t post abuse, off-topic comments and instead help contribute with a constructive response.

You can find dev feedback from the most common questions here: Live Season 2.0 Dev Feedback

Thanks

But this time when a player is injured will he get an "injury-status" and be unavailable to play or will he go straight down in form like last year, but still able to play?

As a quick FAQ as well;

A few points that differ from last year -

- You can download the match results, stats, form etc for the teams and then PLAY the match played by your team in the real world. So for example, it was a derby weekend and your team lost, you could replay the match yourself and win and do that each week to win the league but having to use the downloaded stats and form / players of your chosen club. So in essence, you can change their season results by playing but have to work with the updates that are provided by Live Season 2.0

- There is a cost for this season as it is no longer fully sponsored as Season 1.0 was (adidas) and this year there are far more options and information that you can access.

- Data is updated on a Wednesday and supposedly 13,000 pieces of data are updated each week.

I am sure there are a few other things as well, I will check and get back to you.

Thanks

Im disappointed to be honest, because i was hoping 'My live season' would be scenarios like you could play in Euro 2008.

It would be so much fun to say have a scenario from gameweek one of the EPL if you started off 1-0 down at home against hull and the starting point is the freekick with drogba

In terms of answers to other questions, feel free to post them here (remember constructive please) and I will make the devs aware of this thread so they can try to answer them as well.

In the information we have been sent as Community Managers it says a 5 match free trial but it doesn't say anything about a free league or whether the 5 free matches is Live Season 2.0 (stats updates) or myLiveSeason (the ability to replay the games).

I would suggest reading the blog though as that gives a lot more information and some nice screenshots.

Thanks

Hi, EA_PWride, quick question about Live Season in general, will we be able not to play against someone who has Live Season, it was annoying in FIFA09 to play against someone who had ALS active and me myself not?

A little bit disappoined about My Live Season, but still a great feature. Especially with team summary. But PWride could you please answer my question above?

I would need to check with the development team about the status of injuries.

There's a reason why Adidas have pulled out.

They're ashamed of it

It is another type of gameplay in that you can try to re-enact the actual real world matches of your team therefore gives you new ways to play within the game and you are restricted by the real world stats updates, thus making it slightly different to a "game mode".

£3.99 isn't too bad tbh.

My Live Season sounds good.

When you play your weekly match do you play against the CPU or another player who supports the other club? Does this is any way replace Interactive League?

Haha I just saw in another thread that you wrote this so I wanted to steal your question and paste it here but too late, you were too quick.

From what I have read I think it is against the CPU using the appropriate stats that have been downloaded for the team you are meant to be playing against but again, I will hook up with the devs and try to clarify this.

Don't worry, I am making a list of questions to fire across to them in case they don't check this forum thread.

Thanks

I think the my live season sounds ace. It adds a twists to the previous live season from last year. And isn't the whole point of live season to be playing with the same form of your chosen clubs/clubs. So i don't get why people wouldn't like the new mode added.

Being able to go back and rewrite a game and change the form sounds good. This and manager mode will keep me entertained for ages (along with all the other new features).

Plus all the packs only costing 800 points this time has to be a good thing. 400 for one. 800 for 6? I know the deal i'll be doing.
