Default Which stadia should be assigned to which teams?

We have the ability to assign stadia to teams in FIFA10. Given that a lot of people will be doing this, I have created this thread to be a list that anyone can refer to to assign a suitable stadium to their team (or all of them)

Before I do anything else I want to give a big thank you to Mr Rolexsweep who has confirmed that assigned stadiums can be carried through to any mode - after that lovely Monday afternoon of uncertainty - I was at work at the time, and was brooding about it all afternoon!!

It looked for a little while like the effective use of this thread was halved - but we're okay.

I also would like to thank everyone who has (and continues) to share information, suggestions or even for a good old fashioned argument now and again - there is of course always going to be stadia that some feel will do the job better.

I think below, we now have every team in FIFA10 listed (although the lineup of teams in FIFA10 has not yet been confirmed.

The list has it's origins in FIFA09, FIFA10 features three new generics and the Bernabeau (via DLC) otherwise same as FIFA09.

It is also confirmed you can only assign GENERIC stadiums.

This list will always be updated and will change - especially when we get our paws on the game itself!!

So far this is all we can get of the new ones -

Estadio Chamartin
(And indeed it looks VERY similar to the Bernabeau at first glance)

Court Lane

Thanks to Scottie for the cap:

Court Lane Screen Capture

(Note how it seems to have already been assigned to Portsmouth)

Arena'D'oro (and Stadium select screen)

Thanks to all who've helped, and Podolski for the link to the brilliant German Stadium website. And Dave for the stadium pics here: Estadio Des Artes on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Also "have you trumped" has reupped his interior stadium shots Gallery

And also wider angle shots Gallery

So Ladies and Gents: The list. (credit will be given for suggestions)

I presume there will be some new generic stadia in Fifa 10 so i think it's to early to say yet.

"Square Ground" will most probably suit the Riverside though.

This is a good thread specially for those of us that arent really familiar with the stadiums in European leagues like the EPL. I will check this thread once I get the game for sure.

I think Ivy Lane passes quite well for Selhurst Park.

After suggestion, real name in brackets.

Aston Villa - Ivy Lane (Villa Park)
Burnley - Ivy Lane (Turf Moor)
Everton - Ivy Lane (Goodison Park)
Fulham - Ivy Lane (Craven Cottage)
Man City - Football Stadium, or Fussball Stadium (closed in with boxes in the corner) - City Of Manchester Stadium - aka Eastlands
Sunderland - Fussball stadium (Stadium Of Light)
Tottenham - Fussball Stadium (White Hart Lane)
Portsmouth - Ivy Lane (Fratton Park)
Wolves - Ivy Lane (Molyneux)
West Ham - Ivy Lane (Upton Park / Bolyn Ground)

Charlton - Ivy Lane (The Valley)
Derby - Fussball Stadium (Pride Park)
Could a mod sticky this, I think it'll be really great and useful to have one thread where people can go to find the best match to each real world stadium. Not just English ones either.

It would be helpful to the thread if we had a stadium list, but I suppose if we go on what was available on FIFA09 to make a start - then I'll edit it as we know more.

Sunderland should be football ground as the stadium doesn't have massive nets behind the goals which to be honest would really do my head in.

Good thread, when I play with my team Spurs I play in Dortmund's ground, Signal Iduna Park because it looks like WHL and a dan sight better than Ivy Lane, however although we can assign stads to different teams allegedly we can't assign official stadiums to different team so I I'm ack to square one

I think you can assign official stadiums to other teams - but not rename them. You can rename generics though.

For Spurs, I think the Fussball Stadion is the best match to WHL - Either that or Anfield.

I played around with a few Premiership teams in FIFA09 last night, and found the most suitable stadiums for each.

I will also update the main post.

ENGLAND - Premiership

Aston Villa - Ivy Lane (Villa Park) also works well with Anfield.
Burnley - Ivy Lane (Turf Moor)
Birmingham - Football Ground (St Andrews)
Blackburn Rovers - Ivy Lane (Ewood Park)
Bolton Wanderers - Stadion Neder (Reebok Stadium)
Everton - Ivy Lane or Football Ground (Goodison Park) Also Anfield - if you can bring yourself to do it
Fulham - Ivy Lane (Craven Cottage)
Hull - Stadion Neder (KC Stadium
Man City - Football Ground (City Of Manchester / Eastlands)
Portsmouth - Ivy lane or Square Ground (Fratton Park)
Sunderland - Football Ground (Stadium of Light)
Stoke - Square Ground (Brittania Stadium)
Tottenham - Football Ground or Anfield (White Hart Lane)
West Ham - Ivy Lane (Boleyn Ground / Upton Park)
Wigan - Ivy Lane (DW Stadium)

Coca Cola Championship

Coca Cola League One

Coca Cola League Two

(other leagues to be added)

I think the Manchester City's stadium should be Estadio De Las Artes, as it looks more like Eastlands than Football Ground. This is why I've always been tempted to go back to FIFA 08, as that's City's stadium on there. Football Ground on FIFA 09 has it's fans too close to the pitch, whereas at Eastlands the fans are set back a little from the front.
