EA Strategy To Deal With Madrid Abuse

We already know that Real Madrid are going to be the over-used and abused team in Fifa10. Madrid will be the team of choice for all those people who think they will get an easy win and don't appreciate the beautiful game.

The shear scale of thier spending this summer has surely taken many people by suprise as Madrid aim to buy up every world class player, if only to stop other clubs buying them!

Now I don't mind the fact that I will have to play Madrid all the time, I much prefer that to playing Manure all the time. But EA will have to do something to make sure that Madrid don't have a massive and unfair advantage, even if that's what they will have IRL.

I would love to see team chemistry have an affect on team and player performance in online games. This would avoid some obscure formations where every top Madrid player plays alongside each other. I think playing players out-of-position should have a far greater effect so that we don't get those stupid situations where strikers are played in defence because of their pace. These things would mean that a decent team, well structured and well managed would be a match for an elite team, built to win Fifa matches and not based on reality.

yeah i remember the game used to have team chemistry. not sure if it did anything though. but it'd be good to see how that affected positioning, covering for others and all other aspects that make team more like a team

I will ONLY use Real Madrid no matter what. I'm sick of picking RM in 09 because they were so SLOW. Now in Fifa 10 they have a much better team. What about Barcelona in Fifa 09? They had 3 freaking fast strikers. Henry Eto'o and Messi,.

only noobs used man u and barca in fifa 09 and only noobs will use real madrid.. it just shows that some people can only win with the best players

Why not? I took it last year despite being born a Manchester United fan, born down the road from Old Trafford and still living here, even at university.

No one can complain about people using a team that they support, whoever they are. No one can complain about using a good team for online matches. The problem comes when one team is excessively over-used, disproportionatly, just to gain an unfair advantage in online matches. To such an extent that like 3 in 4 matches online are against the same team.

EA have the power to even the teams out through use of team chemistry, or other methods. How do you see the overuse of Madrid being dealt with by EA?

All these im a Real Madrid fan, Have been since i was 5 guys nearly all have registerd in june lol

Anyway.....I dont really care if they use Real, I will finally be able to use United without people quitting out. The team i mostly used on 09 was Everton....

i've got 3 PSN ID's into the top 1,000 by using 90% of the time Bolton at 3.5*. beating ranked players who are using Inter, Barca, Arsenal, Scum etc. For me, it isn't the noobs who play as the big teams that bother me, it's those who can't just sit back and beat those teams anyway that are the noobs. Stats only get you so far when you play well.

I don't care about teams with good players, i care about idiots with 7 defenders and stuff. Custom formations was the worst idea ever in a football game. they should just have many many default ones and keep custom tactics. but being able to physically move players around so you can have 6 defs n 2 dm's is what frustrates me, i'll gladly beat the Madrid goons with the mighty Bolton

Couldn't agree more with the team chemistry.. such a simple addition would prevent stupid formations and people playing completely out of position. lets hope ea will include this in fifa 10

After signing Albiol though, all Madrid need is a LB. Ramos - Albiol - Pepe - ??? is a good defense. Not as good as Man Utd but good enough.

But yeah, if the game is balanced the winner should be the one who plays football.

Yeah, I already said they aren't as good as say Man Utd's defense. But they are still good defenders. And I also doubt people will be using them to attack in the game, so they'll get the job done.

Man City, do you think?

I know we're building a good squad but will people really hold us in that high regard until we win something? If we get Eto then yes, I would agree that more people will want to play with City. That's when he stops being a tart and wanting to get one over on Barca by going on a free next year.

Not everyone who plays as Man Utd and Barcelona are 'noobs' you know. Some people do actually play the game properly, and not base their game around the through-ball button.

Ive used Barcelona, and I am certainly not a ghastly 'noob' in the slightest.

I can't believe the moaning has started already. The game is months ahead.

It is OBVIOUS that people will use Real Madrid because they will have a plethora of star players. Do i always use Barcelona and United? No. Do i sometimes play a game with them? Yes. The same will go for Real Madrid in FIFA 10. Yeah, it's nice to have variety, but we have Interactive Leagues, etc. for all that. People enjoy playing with the best players. Accept it, move on.

No, thats not the case. Maybe you would have a point if all they did was charge in straight line with Eto'o with the slightlest touch, but thats not all Barca users. In a good players hands, these teams can really put you in a good position to win a match - and lets face it, within the laws of the game, taking an advantage like being a decent team does help things - not everyone invests al their time in learning how to play with hard to use teams, nor wants to waste their precious time getting raped by 5 star users while being Accrington fecting Stanley. Get your e-morals out of your lalalalalalalalas.

Some of the best people ive played have been Barca and Man Utd. The fact they chose those teams made them no worse in my mind. The ironic thing is, if you played a 3.5 star team against a 3.5 star team, u wouldnt mind whoring the Eto'o/Ronaldo equivalent in that scenario would you?

FIFA10 will be the same stuff, stop moaning, use filters, and man up when you loose, stop making excuses. Be a 5star in return, back out or cry a river.
