Question: Are we gonna be able to manage National teams in manager mode now?

I have to tell you Marcel that I am absolutely gutted that there won't be any corrections to the scedualing coding for MLS teams.
Maybe MLS doesn't mean much in the eyes of the rest of the world but Toronto is my home town and I'm a supporters group member.
They're the only team I want to play with in Manager Mode and I can't help but feel it's futile due to the sceduale being so screwed up.
A proper MLS sceduale has every team playing 30 regular season games NOT 39.
Secondly the game has me enter into the US Cup tourney which Toronto isn't even eligible for. Every other MLS team yes, but not Toronto because they are not an American domestic team.
Once you factor that out there are no other tournaments avalible to compete in. No Superliga which would pit the top 4 MLS teams and the top 4 Mexican league in a group tourney and no CONCACAF Champions League for all the teams of North America where the eventual winner goes on to the Club Cup.
Of course there's also the glaring omission of playoffs for the top 8 teams at the end of the season but that's very unique to our league so I'm not even going to get into that knowing full well how futile it would be.
I realize that soccer isn't the top sport in north America but it is growing rapidly in popularity here. For those of us who love it, the errors you've made is just another example of us being shrugged off by the the rest of the football world.
In short Marcel, and forgive me if this may seem too dramatic, but I honestly feel your game is doing a great dis-service to the sport on our side of the world. Perhaps that's what many of the Euro snobs want though.. keeping the yanks away from the game and the lowly canadians along with them.
Maybe on the other side of the coin we'll see the MLS get some respect by the programmers when Vancouver enters the league in 2011 and it's THEIR hometown team that would be victimized.

Sincerely disappointed.

When you first go into MM where you pick the Name of your manager , currency ect. will you be able to choose the name of the Assistant manager or will your club offer you one or do you have to find one ect.?

And i would like to thank you for realising that MM needed to be worked on, i am so happy with all the new features you have put into MM because i think this game mode is the best game mode out there even for 09

I have a question about this. Is it possible to allow your assistant manager to make subs during the game? So say if my players start to run out of energy, they will automatically be substituted for appropriate players by my assistant manager? That would save a lot of time (and arguments) when playing Manager Mode with friends...
i would also like to know the answer to this

Thanks Marcel.
If they do let the assistant manager make subs then I hope I can switch it off. I would hate for my assistant to take control of a match I was playing and managing. That would be totally rubbish imo. Why not let him decide your formation and tactics whilst he's at it!

Question:

At the end of the season, do you have to quit your current club to see what offers come in? - Like in 09?

...you'll get seasonal weather based on the league you play in. No more constant sunburn for your players ;-).

Hi again Marcel, please please please answer my question this time round.

Will there be adaptive difficulty in Fifa10 Manager Mode or is this planned for the future? They have it in Madden and it would be brilliant in Manager Mode.

no, also already answered man, its that you'll get offers at the end of the season and then you can decide wether you stay at your current club, or if you want to take that offer. its like be a pro, you get offers at the end of the season from other clubs, but its your choise!

i dont really know how it looks like, but i think its just a screen that shows the offers.

Itīs not that tough to make the Finals played in a randomized Big European Stadium and it shows you before the Season beginn like in FIFA09 you can switch into the Final Game and the Tournament still had not begin and youīve be able to see that the Final gonna be in the Allianz Arena as example...

There is also Time to add the "Europe Cup" as itīs gonna be played in Season 09/10...please give it a chance Marcel
I wished to be a part of your Team like many of us here

P.S. Also please take a look at the CL und EFA draws because sometimes you see Qualification Games Real vs Milan and others like Anderlecht vs Wisla Krakov
Also the Group Stages are annoying when you get a Group like ManU, Barca, Inter and Galatasaray and other Groups like Legia Warschau, Trabzonspor, PAOK and Marseille...

PLEASE FIX THIS!!
Please read this Marcel!!

A more user-friendly manager mode hub/desktop I'll believe it when I see it. I don't think EA understand the term 'user-friendly'
More user-friendly navigation system surely that's the same as above?
Ability to edit kit numbers which was already in 08 but they took it out
Improved Financial System improved how?
New wage budget not a bad addition but was it really necessary? They say they are running out of time, I'd sooner they had spent time on something else
New board difficulty level setting not interested
New level of authenticity and realism with regard to signing players sounds good
2-tier bidding for players, first agree fee with club then agree terms with the player thats the same as above again isn't it?
Manual growth removed but replaced with improved authentic/realistic auto-growth good idea but will it really be realistic?
New scout ability to predict future growth of players not very important, it's a bit unrealistic to be fair
Pre-season friendlies added, arranged by the new Assistant Manager. *edited* would have been good until I learnt that 2 of the 4 friendlies are against teams from your league. Very unrealistic
Board confidence update after every game already in FIFA 09 under job security
Ability to renogotiate with players immediately and not through negotiation history good thing but it's nothing major is it?
Transfer rumours good thing
CPU squad rotation probably the best thing I've read about MM so far
Fix to the long-term injury bug i.e. there will be long term injuries good thing although Marcel said he's only seen it happen once
No "available negotiations" cap, unlimitied number of transfer offers depending on your available budget good thing but yet again its nothing major
Final decision on player transfers. You can bid for multiple players for the same position and if they all accept then you can choose which players to sign and which not to sign. good thing but really ought to have been in previous FIFAs
Manager mode will not end if you get sacked, your reputation will take a hit and you will get offers from other clubs. I thought that's what happened anyway
You will receive job offers at the end of a season "The better your Reputation, the better the offers will be. You will be able to see their squads overall as well as their key players in every area of their squad. The clubs financial situation will be shown as well. " not really inetrested in this
Able to assign generic stadiums to clubs and rename them, and set weather conditions for that stadium. good thing but I hope all stadiums of day, night and rain/snow
Improved atmosphere in matches with rivals and more 'frantic' celebrations they say this every year but it's always the same
Ability to view opponents starting 11 pre-match good thing
Ability to shortlist up to 20 players good thing
Computer generated player names will be regionalized, "no more Scott McFadden from Brazil" good thing but this was only a problem in FIFA 09 not in 08
Kit editing "Now that we know how important the Kit editing screen was (based on the amount of complaints we've received for not having it), we've made a new one for FIFA 10 :-). " Probably just relates to the ability to edit kit numbers but no more info available at present kit numbers is already mentioned above
Additional in-game commentary inc "Transfer speech, Player Form Speech, Board Confidence comments and much more to come" I like this, sounds good
Players are no longer tied to a club for 12 months after signing, they can move on as early as the next transfer window it's ok but is it really a major improvement?
Financial bonus for promotion, to help bolster your squad *new* means nothing to me
Players will develop at other clubs, not just the user controlled one *new* thats good but only if it works properly
You can set the age of your created player and assign him to your MM club *new* I thought you could on other FIFAs
You can also edit the stats of your created player *new* as above
Contract length plays a role in the market value of a player *new* good thing but not major

I can't help feeling that they haven't done enough on MM. It needed a lot more work than this. I'm really gutted they've done nothing to improve the European tournaments or the FA Cup format.
People like you amaze me.EA have added so many nice features to manager mode and you're still not happy!?If you're gonna complain like that then just don't buy fifa 10 and instead buy PES and play master league with Man Blue in league C

No not neglected by any means. It WAS neglected in 08 and 09. Fifa 10 is the time of change, Manager Mode is been given the attention it rightfully deserves and hopefully by Fifa 11 or 12 just about all the flawed and irritating issue's such as scheduling, loans, no FA Cup Replays will be resolved plus great new features to enchance the whole experience.
If you were on the development team yourself you'd realise how hard it is to revive a broken mode with such limited time available. Great job Marcel.
