Also, will transfers between "rival" clubs be more difficult? Wayne Rooney goes to Chelsea by the fourth season of every manager mode I've done since FIFA 07! Last edited by LukMac2008; 13-07-2009 at 03:11 PM. |

Hello Marcel. Just a few questions here.
1.) When you create Custom team tactics will it stay on those tactics when you start your next match. On Fifa 09, when you start the next match it reverts back to the Default tactics which is annoying. 2.) Will there be FA Cup Replays when you draw a match instead of it going to extra time/penalties? 3.) Will CPU free kicks be better? In Fifa 09, ive only conceded 1 free kick in around 1100 matches against the CPU which isn't exactly the 'total football experience' 4.) Will the CPU team use skill moves against us? In a truely next generation organic experience this is what we should get as every MM game is obviously against AI. 5.) Will the scheduling be fixed so we don't play around 3 EFA matches in a row. In Fifa 09 i had 3 EFA matches without any League matches in between which is unrealistic and disrupts the flow of the League season. 6.) Will the EFA and ECC final be played at a different stadium each season? It seems a waste playing the European final at a Generic stadium when there's so many great real European stadiums in the game.

Is the glitch for the Norwegian League fixed? Last few games you couldn't even qualify for ECC or EFA with a Norwegian team. It was highly dissapointing. I know you can mention something about leagues, because you said something about Sturm Graz during one of your interviews. Thanks.

marcel, david rutter has said an embargo lifts on the 15th July for him before he can release more info about fifa 10. Is this the same for you ? Have you got a deadline before you can release more information about mm?

I don't know if this has already been addressed on this forum, but I found during my MM as Arsenal's manager that when I went deep into all competitions(Champions League, FA cup, League Cup, and of course league games) that I would too often (4-5 times a season) have two games scheduled for the same day. Also it was near impossible to notice this as it couldn't be seen from the calendar. I hope this get fixed as it is extremely unrealistic not to mention aggravating when it surprises you.

Marcel I havent heard if there has been a fix for these few things I found wrong with FIFA 09, can you shed some light on them please???
1. Multiple teams in the ECC (has already been mentioned) but what about multiple teams in the premier league. One season I had to play fulham 4 times because there were 2 fulham teams in the prem. 2. I have noticed that sometimes only 2 teams get relegated instead of the standard 3 teams that should be relegated. 3. Every players physical attributes are the same. For example every midfield player from england is always 5 foot 8 and weighs 152 pounds. Every striker from brazil is 6 feet 180 pounds. This goes for all other nationalities and positions. All germans, italians, spanish, and argentines are the same height and weight |

1. The CPU has different build-up styles depending on the team’s team tactics, so they will feel different. Player personalisation / attributes will add another dimension. I personally notice a lot that I have problems with strong teams (i.e. Bayern Munich), as I prefer to play with small&fast players. 2. Yes, CPU players will perform skill moves this year. Of course skilled players (i.e. Ribery, Kaka) will try them more often than not so skilled ones ;-). 3. Good idea, I like my HUD clean as well...but we won't have this option in FIFA10. 4. Yes, 'nuff said :-). 5. Like last year it will show the amount minutes that was added, but the clock will stop at 90mins. Added time is more up to the refs discretion anyway and not an accurate science. 6. Squad rotation and the transfer system has been discussed a lot already, highly rated clubs trying to weed out older players and introduce fresh talent into their squad is part of that. In addition the new player growth system will result in a players overall going down as he gets older due to his athletic abilites dropping off - this will further contribute to top clubs trying to replace older players. 7. Again, thanks for the compliment I will make sure it reaches everybody that contributes... |

Marcel,
I have trimmed down my list (from page 21 if you would like to check out all of my 'problems and suggestions') to the points I feel are most important and am hoping you will read. Obviously it may be a bit late for Fifa 10 but they could be looked at for 11 maybe. · Can’t see negotiation history after transfer window closes · Can’t see age of players when scouting · Moving clubs as a manager and moving back means you lose everything you’ve built up ie 500m pounds and I leave for one year and it is back to 25m · Free kicks – I have A.Young chosen but sometimes it won’t let me use him and I can only use Petrov or Cuellar for example. Doing? · Players to hand in transfer requests · Transfers – (mentioned a million times but…) Player swaps and cash add ons More bids for your high profile players. Plus maybe enquiries, not just straight up bids Cheers |

I have a question Marcel. Will manager mode be attractive in the long term? I ask this because there were two issues that I believe really detracted from the MM mode experience. The first was scouted players being integrated into the game having names like Lovenkradens Ivanov from England but I believe this has been fixed.
The next problem is player growth for me which I believe has been regulated but I still have some questions on this. How many of these young players will we see becoming unstoppable 90+ rated players? A lot, a few, medium? Next question is in regards to speed. Right now I'm in my 5th season of MM, and a big problem I have is every single striker has 85+ speed. Will speed continue to grow and if so will there be a limit. Thank you for answering the other questions. I'm eager to buy Fifa 10. |

How will manager mode work in terms of "The Americas"? Will you be able to select specific countries (For instance, search for a goalie in Argentina, or a forward in Colombia)? Essentially, are there any new features for Manager Mode in "The Americas" that you are allowed to mention?

Can someone please tell me if MLS will have a proper 30 game sceduale in MM? I asked David Rutter on Twitter but never recieved a reply.
Any chance of CONCACAF Champions League or SuperLiga with Mexican and other north americian teams intergrated with MLS in MM? Thanks. |

Hey, just a few questions.
1. Will there be a training mode? I know theres going to be something in the arena, but will actually get to use those dummy's as walls? In FIFA 09, it was always near the goal post, but you can never use them. 2. Will there be a option in FIFA 10, where you say, Giggs, is taking a freekick, and you want to switch it to Cristiano Ronaldo? Basically switching players to the one you want taking the freekick, like in FIFA 07. 3. Will there be a wider selection of boots for your players, or custom players to wear, including older and new styles of boots, more colors, etc? 4. In manager mode, if you choose a legit sponsor, will it appear on their shirts? 5. Will managers appear on the pitch? On the football pitch now, their is usually a box for the manager to yell and stuff. And also, will there be cut scenes where the manager yells at the players for mistakes, or praises them for goals, etc. and tells tactics? 6. Will commentary be the same for FIFA 10, or is it the same old as FIFA 09? 7. I know that you can change players in the arena, but can you change goalkeepers? 8. During a game, if someone gets hurt, instead of having the same cutscene, will the medic staff get onto the pitch with a stretcher and take the player off? I really hope you answer these questions, that i've been DYING to ask. ![]() please, and thank you. |

Just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your interest in FIFA 10 and specifically the Manager Mode. Your comments and suggestions really help me to figure out what we need to focus on for the final sprint of this development cycle. Also wanted to mention that you are all showing great patience, trust me I am doing my best to answer all your questions...for those of you that can't get enough, we've got a Manager Mode blog in the works, that will have a bunch of more information on the main features of the mode.
Ok, no need to get too sappy...let's get back to the questions. |
