OK, so I'm Valencia and my board objective is to finish in the top 4 or reach the Spanish Cup final. I lost to Zaragoza in the Spanish Cup 3rd round but it is in the league where I just do not undestand the board objective. I'm fighting for 2nd/3rd/4th with Atletico/Real/Sevilla/Racing and after losing my first 3 games trying to alter tactics to my preference etc...to Real(3-1), Barca (5-1) and Espanyol (2-1)...I'm unbeaten in 14 league games and my record is W9-D4-L3.

Then...I draw 2-2 with Villarreal who are on a decent run but are 8th. I move into 4th yet my board confidence halves and I lose half a star in rep! Why? No idea! Then I beat Sevilla (3-1) in my next game and move into 3rd yet I receive a message where the board decide to sack me. lalala! Previously I get comments saying I'm doing well then after the Villareal result, they say the league is not my standard and I'm not doing well (I've gone 14 lalalalaing games unbeaten in La Liga!)

The ideas EA have are good but they lack balance and have just been THROWN at the game rather than worked in properly.

To be fair Gareth Southgate got sack as manager of Middlesbrough after winning. The board had already decided before his last game he would be sacked no matter what!

I've seen managers get sacked in real life after winning. If you're in poor form and still win then you may still get sacked. Everyone asked for a more realistic Manager Mode and now they're getting it.

Nonsense, its not realistic that you get fired after you lose a cup match, expecially if your in the top 4 even top 6 spots. Its by no means realistic... Do you see pellegrini getting fired after losing the alcorcon match???

my whole MM is wrecked. i was man united and had aquired some pretty decent players over my 4 year managerial career with them.

i go to team management today to look at my players all of their form rating is down -111991. it crashes whenever i try to do anything now, haha

Yes sadly everyone who is playing MM will come unstuck at some point with its bugs... its such a shame that MM is so unreliable.

It seems to me that EA do not understand the basic principles of football and SEVERELY LACK ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

1. Atmosphere is a big part of football. Make it more realistic...i.e. crowd responsiveness to in-game situations (when your team is attacking, the crowd should roar you on etc), different crowd noises i.e. Spain shout "GOLLLL" whereas England/Scotland is "YAYYYY". Sometimes when you score, the crowd goes completely silent. lalala! SORT IT OUT

2. Crowd attendance...the idea is good but when you see the top stadiums half empty that's just lalalalaing stupid. Old Trafford, Emirates, Anfield, Stamford Bridge etc will normally be full for every single game especially the big games. Only in 2/3rd round Carling Cup games will there be lots of empty seats. Even then, it wouldn't be anywhere as much as there are in FIFA. The half-filled stadiums should only apply to teams ranked lower than 4 stars...teams like Bolton, Hull, Stoke, Blackburn.

3. Trophy celebrations...just lalalalaing add this in! Knowing EA they'll do a half-assed job on that aswell so here's an example of the detail needed. TAKE NOTE OF PES YOU lalalalalalalaS!

4. Better goal celebrations...again take note from PES. Sometimes how about celebrating with substitutes. When important goals are scored, make more than two/three players lalalalaing run up and celebrate. Also, BRING BACK SIGNATURE CELEBRATIONS like Torres knee slide, Kaka lifting hands to the sky, Raul kissing his finger.

5. Results from other leagues...adds to the immersion and gives an idea of how other teams are playing and who will be in the CL.

6. How about match reports for some games...doesn't need to be overly-detailed but good enough. Look at the Manager Mode page and take some ideas!

7. Pre-game intro...LAZY AGAIN BY EA. The players just emerge out of nowhere. lalala! Get a decent pre-game intro. Let the players stand in the tunnel, wait, walk out onto the pitch...maybe some players applaud their fans. They then shake each others hands before starting the game. Make the pre-game intro longer. Commentary could mention team form etc.

8. Board confidence...again you've got a good idea but you've done it all wrong. The basis for being sacked and having success should vary with each team. Sometimes, you're objective is to avoid relegation and yet if you lose to Man Utd, you lose confidence. lalala!!!

Lower ranked teams...less than 4 star, should be more ready to fire their manager after a bad run than higher ranked teams. How can you not notice this. Do you see Rafa Benitez getting sacked for his current run of results with Liverpool? No. Yet if he was manager of Hull, he would have been fired by now.

The board comments also seem to be completely randomised as proved by my earlier example.

THIS WOULD JUST ADD TO THE IMMERSION OF MM AND MAKE IT MUCH BETTER THAN THE DEAD ONE WE'RE STUCK WITH.

Thanks for showing me this i do not post often because i have nothing positve to say about my fifa10 expierence so far. This celebration alone makes me want to seriously try PES just to see something like this. I think what angers the fans the most is we ALL know EA have the resources to create cup celebrations even better than this, YET YEAR AFTER YEAR THEY DO NOT.
Man that celebration may have been just 3% of the overall part of gameplay, and some fans could care less about that kind of stuff, but for somebody like me who wants to play a game vs the CPU everyday because it helps me relax. That celebration was Insane and i just smiled like a kid during the whole 3 minute time frame.
Thats what i want in my game, I just want EA to deliver it.

I know what you mean. The PES celebrations looks brilliant.

EA has more resources than Konami aswell but even if they do add trophy celebrations I bet it won't be a patch on the PES one knowing EA. They'll release a pub-standard version and market it as a selling feature.

HAHA! EA are just LAZY, that's their problem! If only Football Manager was FIFA'S competitor in terms of gameplay aswell. Then they'd pull their socks up instead of trading realism for pointless gimmicks like Live Season 2.0

Imagine FIFA with attention to detail like PES!

-Weather is totally wack and most annoying!! In my first season 70% matches where played in rain. I picked some southern american stadium to at least play my home games normally. In the second season almost every game is played in snow. Also....Why am I playing on an ice track at 9 oktober..with a white ball!! In normal football you don't see games on pitch like that, game will get cancelled because it risks players health unless you play in russia. I understand a change of pace is nice now and then...but not the majority of games..playing in heavy rainfall and snow.

- Playing with a small english club cc1/cc2 it's impossible to sign even mediocre players (ovr 60) with negotiatiors at level 10.

- Board comments are totally wack. After beating sevilla 4.5 * with Rochdale 1* in uefa cup. A coach of your caliber needs to perform better in this game. Reputation loss!!!

- Referees: A shoulder press is a foul while tackling right trough ones body isn't as long as you do it frontally there is no problem. A shoulder press is not a foul!!!!

- Staff upgrades aren't worth their money!! It's cost millions and millions to get attack defence etc to level 10. The benefit is almost non existent. With my attack upgraded to highest level and my defence not at all...every player grew 3/4 lvl...Negotiatior level ditto. Clubs refuse to sell their players AT ANY cost with level 10. The big factor is how big your club is..for example with bayern munich (big club) they will except everything..even if your negotiator level isn't upgraded at all while with a small club it's impossible. The stupid thing is the players won't turn you down..but the clubs are..even bidding a 10 fold of the player's worth.

- Crowd There's hardly any cheers, or noise when you score goals. I expect them to blow up the stadium when you score a 90 minute goals in the fa cup final..not clap your hands like it's a tennis game.

- Commentary is so damn stupid and annoying. 'That's an easy save for the goal keeper'..while he just managed to tip it over the bar or performing some super save. Comments like the team are balanced blablaaa while one team has ZERO shots at goal where the other team has 20.

- Match ratings..Central players perform easier tasks..therefore always get high matchratings while wingers and backs perform 'harder' passes. For example: Your striker will win you the game 2-0 in the last 5 minutes..and your central back will be the man of the match because he has 11/11 passes, and win 3 tackles -_-

- Paying 55 euros for a game which hasn't improved, full of bugs is one thing. But why isnt there a decent instruction manual. Why isn't there some documentation which explains to me investing in negotiator level is totally nonsense. The only thing the booklet explaines are the moves..while that information is already ingame in the tutorials.

- Playing important matches against big clubs your keeper and strikers get polio. Your keeper will let almost any shot trough and your striker will miss from 5 yards to an open goal..and shoot 10 times on the bar and goal post.

i got the game playing my first MM with Inter. im sorry to say but i think a lot of people have been exaggerating a bit. the manager mode experience is not that bad. the only thing i can say is that it doesn't feel that much different from past manager modes. the weather is close to perfect, not all games are played during rainy nights, players will sing for you but their salary has to be really high, or at least get their interest to 65-75 %, true players do not improve that much, but that's fine. one last thing, the keepers are too damn good, Julio Cesar has made impossible saves all season and i know that because i havent simmed one game.

Transfer are driving me nuts at this moment, really needs some help here.

I started the season with Man U. In the pre-season period I was able to buy about 6 players and sold about 8. More players left then came, not a big deal. By simply putting the interest up to 80% almost all the players I tried to achieve went to my team except for 1. My negotation lever is at 10.

Now being champion of the Barclays league, FA Cup and Community Shield (or something) it's time for some new players on my team

I'm trying to buy the following players:
Fellaini, Montolivo, Jesus Navas, Fernando, Mata and Enrich Ametller.
All the six players are refusing to come. I give both the amount of trasfer as well as wage. Adding sometime a bonus.
If I go to negotion history for the reason: no reason

It really starts to irritate me a lot

. I've got GK =2, DEF = 13, MID = 10, ATT = 7. Looking at their rating and the rating of the few people they have to compete with they're great.

So please what to do?

Have you played be a pro seasons, with autosave on? If so I hear that can export who was relegated and promoted in that save to your squad file, (it happens when you exit after making some changes in team management), and thus you get the mess you have here.

(It does not export squads with autosave off.)

What you need to do is save a new squad file, name it whatever, then download latest squads to that squad file, (if autosave is on it will save, if not do it,) and I think you should be back to normal default leagues again.

I don't think there is a way to fix the squad file that got messed up, so if you had been building some players in be a pro seasons in that file that you wanted to keep, they will be stuck in that messed up squad universe and there's no way to transfer them to a corrected squad file.

LETS-DO_DIS Rookie Join Date: Jun 2009 Posts: 321	OK, so I'm Valencia and my board objective is to finish in the top 4 or reach the Spanish Cup final. I lost to Zaragoza in the Spanish Cup 3rd round but it is in the league where I just do not undestand the board objective. I'm fighting for 2nd/3rd/4th with Atletico/Real/Sevilla/Racing and after losing my first 3 games trying to alter tactics to my preference etc...to Real(3-1), Barca (5-1) and Espanyol (2-1)...I'm unbeaten in 14 league games and my record is W9-D4-L3. Then...I draw 2-2 with Villarreal who are on a decent run but are 8th. I move into 4th yet my board confidence halves and I lose half a star in rep! Why? No idea! Then I beat Sevilla (3-1) in my next game and move into 3rd yet I receive a message where the board decide to sack me. lalala! Previously I get comments saying I'm doing well then after the Villareal result, they say the league is not my standard and I'm not doing well (I've gone 14 lalalalaing games unbeaten in La Liga!) The ideas EA have are good but they lack balance and have just been THROWN at the game rather than worked in properly.

crazypearce Rookie Join Date: Oct 2009 Posts: 25	my whole MM is wrecked. i was man united and had aquired some pretty decent players over my 4 year managerial career with them. i go to team management today to look at my players all of their form rating is down -111991. it crashes whenever i try to do anything now, haha

YouTube - PES 2009 - Champions League Celebration (YouTube - PES 2009 - Champions League Celebration) Thanks for showing me this i do not post often because i have nothing positve to say about my fifa10 expierence so far. This celebration alone makes me want to seriously try PES just to see something like this. I think what angers the fans the most is we ALL know EA have the resources to create cup celebrations even better than this, YET YEAR AFTER YEAR THEY DO NOT. Man that celebration may have been just 3% of the overall part of gameplay, and some fans could care less about that kind of stuff, but for somebody like me who wants to play a game vs the CPU everyday because it helps me relax. That celebration was Insane and i just smiled like a kid during the whole 3 minute time frame. Thats what i want in my game, I just want EA to deliver it.

Hell yeah they would advert it as a new marketing ploy. "NEW CELEBRATIONS" for the every different cup dream your team is willing to chase ,join us on the pitch for FIFA11 to see just how BIG football can get. (or something really corny like that) And your correct they would probaly be lalalala!!!!! BTW I have looked at that PES Champions League vid three times now in its entirety, and i am just mesmerized. The mutts nutts if i say so myself!!!!!!!!
