Since a lot of valuable info on enhancing this game is scattered around web, I decided to just make one thread and list all methods and patches that I've personally used and those that have worked. Enjoy everyone and if you know more, please be my guest and submit here, it's only for all of you. Maybe this thread needs a Sticky so that all users who want something more out of their FIFA 10 PC can have their money's worth.

go to control panel and open NVIDIA Control Panel
then under '3D Settings' click 'Manage 3D Settings'
and then on select program, click browse and find fifa10.exe

ok now turn most of the things on, if you dont know some things dont turn them on.
Things you should turn on:
Anistrophic filtering
antialiasing - gamma correc.
' ' - mode
' ' - setting
max. pre rendered frames - 2
texture filtering - quality
' ' ' ' - trillnear optimization
triple buffering
vertical sync

multicore users should set affinity atleast 2 cores if experiencing random slowdown.

Excellent stuff guys, keep up the feedback and suggestions. Every Fifa 10 user and modder must check this place out.

For Windowed Mode and Vertical Sync in-game (That's right):

Click config.dat with File Master 10 and open sku.ini(Keep backup)

Copy and paste entire sku.ini contents in a new notepad, change values of Windowed from 0 to 1 and Vertical Sync to any between 0 and 3 and save this new file as sku.ini as well. Now whenever you need to change settings for Windowed and Vertical Sync just import this file into config.dat using File Master 10

Does anyone know where the default controller colour but is in the code anywhere? I don't mind having one fixed colour, just as long as it isn't green! I can't see the player names for the grass.

this is for better performance or for better quality?

It's for performance, but the antialiasing part is for quality.

turning them on, i don't think it's for better performance.

Actually, if you turn v sync and triple buffering on it may stutter with Depth of Field on in-game, check the part where it says for all this to work you have to turn the Depth of Field Off

Sadly, FIFA 10 PC isn't GPU based, it's CPU based like older games, so if you have a decent graphics card it'll be the same as having a GTX 295. The performance will only make a difference if you have a better CPU in this case. Most modern games rely on GPU and CPU equally if not more on GPU.

this is so not true... have a 1.8GHz and the game runs pretty good.

I own a single core Pentium 4 3Ghz with Hyper Threading, 2GB Ram, 8800GT 512mb, I've played every single game on max settings including Crysis, Fallout 3, Gta IV, Assassin's Creed. Fifa 10 pc doesn't compare to any of these and Fifa 09 barely stuttered. 10 does, so if what I said isn't true how come I'm not the only one who complained about the game not being optimized, performance decreasing as more matches are played and cpu affinity needing to be changed? My entire point was that there are lags/framerate stuttering or whatever you call it in this game, it does run smooth on my plalalalail the camera move. If you use 1280x1024 res, detail - High and it's flawlessly smooth without a drop then you need to check the game again. And what is 'not true'? I wrote above that Fifa pc is not GPU dependant like most modern games is it GPU dependant? GPU dependant is something like Far Cry 2 which ran with maxed out settings at stable framerate on my weak processor.
