Bristol City Football Club My View I'm Back I'm Back and In-case you don't know me... Hi I'm Mike Edmonds and as you can tell I am a Bristol City fan, Bristol born and bred! I have been a City fan since the day I was born and have always had faith in the club, especially during the low times. Our third season in the Coca Cola Championship is fast approaching and I am really looking forward to it. After being promoted from League one, we had a dream first season in The Championship, it really was incredible taking ourselves all the way to Wembley for a Play-Off final against Hull, but we were unlucky to lose from a Dean Windass volley. So we then had the Second Season in The Championship to perform as well in, but... That wasn't the case. Even though we achieved over our expectations first season in the CCC, we weren't expecting the same second season. But we still finished in a respectable 10th final league position which I was very proud of. But now this year, we need to put the past behind us and concentrate on pushing for promotion up to Premier League! I believe we have what it takes but its still going to be a massive challenge. To help us with this achievement, our summer signings have been fantastic so far, the likes of: - Paul Hartley, Signing from Celtic - Danny Haynes, Signing from Ipswich - Lewin Nyatanga, Signing from Derby - David Clarkson, Signing from Motherwell - Dean Gerken, Signing from Colchester - Evander Sno, On Loan from Ajax - Álvaro Saborío, On Load from FC Sion I can see it now, Paul Hartley and Marvin Elliott, two world class midfielders, partnering up in the center of our midfield, Quality! So with the season not too far away, its time to get my new Season Card soon, for the one and only EastEnd, I can't wait!! Forza EastEnder

The Day I Order My Season Card You would think that getting my Season Card this year would just be the same as any other year, but thats where your wrong. This season I am changing stands to the one and only 'Wedlock Stand' AKA 'The EastEnd'. This is where all the atmosphere comes from at home matches, I have been in there a couple of times and it was hectic, but now... I get to spend a whole season in there.
So today was an early start for me, I got up early, did what I had to do in the morning, then it was off to Ashton Gate to get the card. But the day had to go wrong somewhere didn't it, on the way down to The Gate, my dads car had run out of petrol. Seriously how can a guy not know when they are low on petrol? Anyway we eventually made it down to The Gate and ordered my card, finally! This now officially made me a 'Forza EastEnder'! Forza EastEnder |

![]() So the Pre-Season is almost underway, I will be using it as a good chance to see our recent summer signings, the liking of Paul Hartley etc. The club have arranged a total of four friendlies, two home games and two away games. Thankfully, our first is a home game, against Championship side, West Brom. It is a good challenge for a opening friendly, seeing as though Albion will be challenging for promotion. The result won't be important, what will be important is the way the players gel together, hopefully it won't take too long. I am particularly looking forward to seeing Hartley in a City shirt, a former Celtic player must be promising. The remaining friendlies include: Derby County - Away Dortmund - Home Catania Calcio - Away Looking forward to a trip away to Derby, I always love going to away games. We take a massive following to every away game, every season. The atmosphere created is just incredible. Pre-Season just gets me even more up for the up coming season. You Reds! Forza EastEnder
