MISSION IMPOSSIBLE to stay up. They have a good team(Dindane, Smith, Kaboul, James, Piquionne, Yebda, and Boateng all come to mind) They just need to get on form and they could really challenge for Midtable.

Portsmouth Intrested in Donovan

Portsmouh have confirmed they have intrest in Landon Donovan. Portsmouth manager Paul Hart expressed he needs a creative midfielder and second striker before the Premier League season starts and has told The Sun that Landon Donovan is on his radar.

The American, who currentley plays for the LA Galaxy in MLS, has since said he is very flattered by the remarks and admits he needs to move to Europe for him to garner valuable expeirence ahead of the World Cup. Something he says that MLS is not offering him.

Landon admits he must move to Europe this season at age 27 when he is in hi sprime or risk never moving to Europe. Donovan has played in Europe twice before after unsuccsesful stints at Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich.

After the recent takeover of Ali Al- Faraj Portsmouth certainly have the funds to buy the Midfielder but will
MLS let their biggest homegrown talent leave for another stint in Europe.?

Great start Timbers, nice to see your starting a MM and hopefully you get the game soon, I think you won't have much trouble staying up because Portsmouth actually play some good football but just lose every game

, how about buying Kieran Westwood from Coventry because James will retire soon

Lets hope he can be ready for South Africa. Took Eduardo just under a year to return from just a broken leg. Davies was really good too.

yeah, without Davies we'll do pretty bad in South Africa.

But Davies's injuries are worse than Eduardo's. Davies fractured his tibia and femur and fractured is elbow.
