Feedback / Issues with Manager Mode

Just finished my 3rd season with Liverpool, having won the league, league cup, FA cup and ECC. At the end of the season I had a Club Budget of about £40,000,000 and a Rem. Weekly Wage budget of about £260,000.

Now I've started season 4 with the same club and my budgets are -£2,147,483,640 and -£1,157,250 respectively.

Where did all my money go?

Do I continue the season and hope it rights itself in the close season? Or do I just start another MM and hope it never happens again?

1. Why limit MM to 15 seasons? Thats not even realistic, most managers are around for longer in real life. Just make it unlimited or adjustable.
2. Stadiums dont visually grow when you upgrade them. You can't even see your attendance figures to know if your filling it or not, only ticket sales.
3. Stop the Assistant Manager messing with my team even though he's set to off!

There's no feedback when you try and buy a player that is not 'for sale'. So it's impossible to know if the amount you offered the club is not enough or if the contract you offered the player is the problem.

That is a seriously bad bug, hehehe. They could have always just lost two games 15-0

P.S. I also keep crashing when I have a game against Liverpool(on PS3 though)... could that be a coincidence ?

I think EA realises that Liverpool are lalalala that's y u guys get crashes. And yes that's a serious BUG... FATAL!

yes! this is what i get and have found no way round it, it's killing me as MM is the reason i play it. so frustrating!!!

have you tried starting another season with a team from a different league?

I'm playing my second season as Fenerbache in the Turkish league.. so far I haven't came across this issue...YET....

Honestly,

this was one of my top complaints of the old MM mode. The financial incentives did not exist FULL STOP! Im not surprised to hear that nothing has changed although Ive yet to finish a season.

There was no cash anywhere except in your season tickets:

Nothing for winning leagues.

Nothing for winning promotion.

Nothing for winning in the EEC.

I mean these are the basic key financials of football management.

My target from the board is to avoid the relegation zone.

Im 10th.

I beat Arsenal away - they love me "youre showing established coaches the way blah blah..."

Next match I knock Man U 3-1 out of the Cup - What do the board say "You should be performing better" (or something similar).

Then my reputation then goes UP! and my board confidence goes down!

Wow.

Well that's just lalalala... freaking lalalala... I'm getting incensed at how MM is panning out...

Yes indeed.. I've paid 60 Singapore dollars for this & it reall3 looks far from the finished product. We, the hardcore FIFA gamers need a definite answer!!!

Well I've spent the last 2hrs reading all 31 pages of the threads here, most of them complaints anyway & I realised that I wasn't aware of the numerous bugs present in MM. I'm using Fenerbache in the Turkish League, into my 2nd season & the ones I've experienced are :
- Freezing screens
- Asst Manager being lalalalaed up.
- Injuries being so scarce & only for 1wk periods.
- The incompetence of the freaking BOARD.
- Not getting any cash after winning competitions.
- Transfer budgets being the same at the start of a new season.
- White ball in snow.
- Almost empty stadia.
- Scouted players actually said to play on opposite side of fav foot.
- Players being wrongly deployed. *I've had Ribery as LB when i played Bayern!*

Looking back at the threads prior to the release of this game, I saw that many were overly excited at it. Many were praising the EA team with Fantastic job! Awesome! Splendid! And look where we are now!! It's totally lalalalaed up!

Yes FIFA 10, without a shadow of a doubt, has the best gameplay ever & seriously i love it. But c'mon, these 70-odd bugs, just for the MM is really inforgivable. We have been totally ripped off. The 2nd patch wasn't really a satisfying result. And I wouldn't really know if it worked? TOTALLY DISSAPOINTED.

I have been playing PES for many years until i switched to FIFA 09. I was impressed. Yes, the gameplay was further improved & enhanced in FIFA 10 but like i said, i was dissapointed, flabbergasted, at how the MM was developed. Too many mistakes, too many bugs. Unbelievable.

I bought it days after the release in Singapore for SGD$60. No wonder it was SGD$10 cheaper than 09. Now, I think, many of us have learnt our lesson. EA, like many, I'll play the waiting game. Let's see after 6 months of the FIFA 11 release. Let's see if forums will be bombarded with troubling issues like they were now.
FIFA 10 still has the upper hand based on gameplay to PES. But besides that it's still lagging behind.

everytime i complete a manager mode match the game freezes before i go to the end of match menus, this only started to happen at the start of my 3rd season, whats the problem?

I still don't understand the purpose of EA creating half empty stadiums, that cant be filled with stadium upgrades or gains in managerial prestige. How is that realistic in any way, shape, or form? I thought they were creating a better match day atmosphere not destroying it.

Not too serious but definitely annoying...

Whenever you choose any team in the Turkell Super Lig like Fenerbahce for example, the preseason friendlies take place in January of 2010, and the league starts in September of 2010...

The league should start in 2009, and during the January period I'm pretty sure the league is still on. Hopefully this is just a one season thing...

1: If my reputation as a Manager is half a star at the beginning. I should not be able to sign with a really high/good club. Fifa 07 forced you to begin your Manager career with a very low team and depending on how you did with that team, you would receive more offers from higher clubs. Thats the way it SHOULD be done.

2: Signing players (that you already own) should show feedback on why this player didn't sign with you. Too many times have I tried to sign Saviola and he rejected all my offers. I even offered him the highest amount possible and for only 1 year.

3: Your team should have more than 3 sponsors to choose from. Thats self explanatory

4: My assistant ALWAYS juggles up my starting 11 after every game even though it is turned off. Why can't he just leave me alone?

5: The so called "board" doesn't seem to work properly. I tied ManU and the board believes that I should have beaten a team like that...(my team is Benfica, I am only a 4 star team) however my reputation went up but the board dropped...so confusing.

6: Allow us to see attendance; It will be good to see attentance and stadium size to see how we are doing..


Thats all I can really come up with at the moment.

I am currently having a problem playing manager mode after the release of patch #2.
At some point during the season a glitch occurs which does not allow me to play another game ----> http://i82.servimg.com/u/f82/13/42/24/65/dsc00711.jpg
if i try to play a match in manager mode after this happens the game freezes on me, i have tried exited the manager mode and reloading it but the glitch stays there, it has happend now a least 4 different times with separate manger mode seasons.

Has this been happening to anyone else and does anyone know when it will be fixed?

Yeah it happens to me in every MM at the first match of each season. So practically i can't play Manager mode. It has frozen so many times now i've stopped playing the game.

I downloaded a mates 4:3:3 formation to my console, used it in my 2nd season of manager mode, and then occasionally the LM and RM player names on the main screen would randomely be replaced by numbers such as -43235253346.7, going into team management would cralalalala, but a reload would work for another game before crash. The final time, these two player names were replaced by just -1, now whenever i try to load the data it goes into loading screen and crashes, resetting the squads does not work, any chance of a solution? :\

Are our players in manager mode actually getting paid?

I am in the first season of a manager mode with Notts County, I have signed as many players as i could and only have $20 left in my weekly wage budget.

My actually "weekly" wage budget for players signed is $31,880, I assume that this is the total sum of money that all my players are paid each week?

This true or not?

What I notice after each game/week in my manager mode, is that my Club budget goes up each week, when I win a game (this is sponsor income) and at each home game my club budget goes up with ticket income.

But what isn't happening and I assume it should be, is that my weekly wage budget of $31880 isn't being deducted from my "club budget" each week. Thus my players are not being paid each week.

This doesn't seem right, are other people noticing this?

I am a Five star coach and still only three countries are interested in me with about 5 clubs for each competition. Starting of in the Dutch Eredivisie at VVV Venlo I managed to become a Five star coach within three seasons.

So I wanted to coach one of the top 3 like Ajax or FC Twente. When I can select a club however only VVV Venlo is there for the Dutch Eredivision. The Barclays Premiership has got Liverpool and Man United..but Arsenal is not there to choose and there is a French or Spanish division to choose from.

Now that is a feature I hardely dislike about this years managermode.

I want to start by saying how dissapointed I am. After waiting, and listening to all the hype and build up, the promises and expectations, the game was ultimately a let down. The major issue is all the little things that you have taken for granted, not taken a little bit of time and thought to put right. All that is needed is a little bit of TLC. Instead you have released a game that is incomplete (yet again).

FA cup final played at night
For the last 100 and something years the FA cup final has been played at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. Iv never seen it played under floodlights.

Unrealistic calander
My guys don't play football on Christmas day, I don't think a game has ever been played at christmas.

Idiotic Chairman
I was playing as Blackburn Rovers and had a season target to get to the semi final of the FA Cup, not a problem. Until I draw Chelsea in the 4th round. Surely they cant expect me to beat them, And as an added bonus I lose about 9 manager prestige points or whatever they're called.

Poor celebrations
Iv won a cup, I want to feel like Iv achieved something. I don't want to see half my starting 11 posing for a team photo trophy-less in the middle of an empty pitch. It isn't realistic.

Stadium Attendance
I was playing as Liverpool at home, hosting Man Utd. I was top of the league. The stadium was empty.

Substitutes
This has happened a couple of times. Players being substituted off then the next minute they are sticking the ball in the back of your net. Crazy.

New Stadiums
Surely by now all the major stadiums should be on game. Especially for the teams playing in European competitions.

Kit Numbers
I sign a player and they get given the number 2 shirt. Just give them the 1st available number.

Cocking my team up
Again when I sign a player the game thinks its doing me a favor by placing them in my starting 11. While doing this they messing the rest of my team up. Please just put them at the bottom of the list. I will sort them.

Player Contracts
The option to extend my players contracts is a waste of game space. I can offer any player the maximum I can offer them and they will always reject it. But at the end of the season i can just tick a box and they just resign there existing contract. Madness.

Half time substitutions
If a make a substitution at half time the game resumes by the player i took off running off the pitch. Why is he on the pitch. I substituted him in the dressing room, he should just get a coat and go sit on the bench.

Well that's just a short list of what I can think off now. I'll let you know if anything else is bothering me.

MM played on PS3 -
Of al the bugs/glitches listed in these pages the one that gets to me the most is the -2.4 billion in debt because it basically stops the progress as you cant do staff upgrades and you can buy new players. waste of time as you spend first 2 seasons building your squad and reputation etc for nothing. MM is the only game i play since i started with FIFA08 and really enjoyed the flexibility. now with 10 well just look at all the moans posted, enough said.
Oh and one bug i can help with, the snow and white ball - just pick the orange one at the start as it works well in day/night rain/snow/overcast
EA please sort and send us an email update weekly or something.
