Pre-match info

It's a simple idea:

During pre-match cutscenes, some contextual info could be shown.

Before League matches:

Competition table, highlighting the positions of the two teams.
Competition name, season and round.

For example:

Italian Serie A
2009/10
16th round

Before Cup matches / playoffs:

Competition name, season, round and leg.

For example:

UEFA Champions League
2009/10
Semi-final
1st leg

Aggregate score (when in second leg).

During gameplay, aggregate score should also appear below the normal score:

AI teams could behave according to the aggregate score...
(New thread about that.)

I believe those additions would bring an welcome "scenario feeling" which is missing in FIFA 09.

In future versions, those scenario elements could also be a part of pre-match commentary...

I think it should only pop up there IF and ONLY IF the player chose to enable the away goal rule. I always disable it for example, coz I have my own rules.

Well, you can disable away goals rule but aggregate score still decides the winner, I guess...
Away goals aside, I think you should be able to chose show agg. score or not.

Yes! I agree! In some of the previous FIFA games had it. And could put some match info during the game, making dissapear the scoreboard for a moment and showing: possession, shoots, fouls...

Good idea. Ive thought often that at the start of an FA Cup match, it should say 'FA Cup 3rd Round' for example.

The aggregate score should certainly be shown also but i think it should be shown at the side of the normal score like it is in a football TV broadcast.

Not even UEFA-Champions-League-beautiful-pre-match-music needed, just plain basic info, which would increase presentation a lot.

Yeah, you're right. Beside would be better, a cleaner look.
