Look, for some reason FIFA doesn't allow a player to jump into a game on the opposing team when playing offline.
![]() Why would you want to do that you scream? Well its boring if your playing a league with a friend(s) offline and every has to wait while they are playing their game, it spoils the fun and ruins the competition so you end up not playing multiplayer at all. For that reason I resort to Pro Evo on the PS2 for those games which is a shame. All it needs is to be able to move a controller or multiple controllers to the opposing team so people who like to play from the same physical location can all get involved trying to stop your progress through a cup competition or league. Its not rocket science & I don't get why its missing. Like I said I love the online play but with these omissions EA are forcing people to play in isolation. Two players playing against the computer or only in exhibition matches sucks like a granny with false teeth eating a boiled egg.

Yeah, more offline play options would be great, like BAP, etc. In fact, pretty much every single game mode in FIFA should allow you to add other controllers into the mix so you could play offline multi.
I think the whole game industry has been ignoring offline couch multiplayer in favour of online play with the current gen consoles. They sell more consoles that way, I suppose. But hell, gaming for me is a social thing. I don't like sitting by myself with a headset on and playing strangers over the internet. I like playing FIFA with friends when they come over and it definately irked me with 09 since it had limited offline multiplayer options since it's the game I played most often all this year. |

I think offline should have more focus to it. I'm sorry but with the sea of cheaters online, I prefer to play offline more now. I would like to play quick random team matches. I want to be able before the match starts to quickly set up formations and lineups to my liking. I enjoy playing with horrible teams hoping to be matched up with the "big teams" and polish my skills. But quickly getting a match and a quick menu that I can access all the mentioned above. Good morning EA! I hope you all had copious amount of love making this weekend. Now off to your meetings.
