FIFA 10 Dev Team versus Community:Online Clubs Game Event

Hello everyone,

On Monday December 14th our Community Team is going to be hosting an online clubs game with the FIFA Development Team versus two community club teams. We want you to tell us why your club deserves the chance to play against the FIFA development team and the two best entries will have their clubs face off against the FIFA Team. We're looking for teams to have a full squad if possible, so ensure that if you're going to enter for a chance to play the dev team that you have a full team ready.

Get your entries in as we'll close this off on Saturday evening and announce the winner on Sunday.

The game will be held at 12:00pm Pacific Time (because the team is here in Burnaby, British Columbia Canada) so tell us why your team should be featured in this clubs challenge and we'll see you on Monday .

This event will be for the 360. We will be planning a PS3 event soon.

Hi I have a squad of ten players plus covering players, as a former (official EA) MYM manager for fifa09, it would be an honour for GoldenBallz FC to play the Fifa development team, and I'm sure Phil Wride would be interested in the result as would the rest of the fifa universe.

RockSteady FC's Portfolio for the Proposed Event

First off, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Kyle (British Fiasco) and I am the manager of FIFA10 (Xbox 360) club RockSteady FC, although I am the figure-head at the club so-to-speak I have several individuals working behind the scenes to help me with the upkeep and general management of the club itself. We have already spoken about this event together, and have decided unilaterally that we would like to put ourselves forward to participate and that is why I'm here today writing this article for you.

RockSteady FC is widely regarded among the 10v10 clubs community as one of the best clubs to play for. Our reputation stems from the long term professionalism the club has shown both on and off the pitch, additionally we are the most highly rated 10v10 team on FIFA10 with a Ten to One win loss ratio putting us in division 3 and competing for the top spot in the UK regional league.

Rank points, wins, losses aside. They come second best at the club to having fun because without fun, what's the point? A lot of clubs quickly lose sight of that factor when they become too immersed and fixated with becoming #1 numero uno. As long as everyone is having fun at the club, I know we're running it just fine.

At the club we have a very large squad of; quality, friendly, and mature players. Meaning, we rarely become involved with petty disputes and co-exist with the rest of the community in a friendly and positive manner. Due to our large squad, we are able to field a team of 10 including reserves every night. This is not as easy as you may believe, a lot of managers will appreciate how difficult it is to get 10 people turning up to play on time, all the time. This is something we have achieved a long time ago where a lot of our peers have not. An achievement we are very proud of.

It's all very well me telling you all this, but can I put my money where my mouth is? Certainly. The following will contain all the major factors not listed above regarding why we should be chosen.

Community Building:

RockSteady FC is not all; me, me, me. Far from it, we regularly interact with our respected peers on a daily basis and it came to the point where we felt we needed to give something back to this community we're part of.

It would be an honour for GoldenBallz FC to play the fifa development team.

this match will be in the spirit of fair play, we do play beautiful attacking football, and the players I have will delight you and show how fifa 10 clubs can be played with full-ten players.

I was a former (official EA) MYM event Manager responsible for organising fifa09 (offline) events in the UK.

EA have now taken different route this year concentrating on online events.

An opportunity arose for me to work at Konami for PES10 (offline events) but I turned it down and stayed and I've now formed Goldenballz FC which started in november, and playing the fifa development team will be the first 10v10 team that we will have played (fantastic timing)

my team are ready - please say yes and we will have a fantastic game of football, and show why fifa10 is the best football game, and why 10v10 is a great game mode and how it should be played with full teams - and a big thanks to me for turning down Konami.

I'm certain Phil Wride would be interested in the result.

Corinthians FC will be submitting a PM tomorrow...as Grandads of Fifa.....6 of our players coming towards their 40's(Who all played the very first Fifa Game on Sega Mega drive) and the rest of the team in their early 20's...we would love to take you on...and you might think about entering your team in one of our 10 v 10 Tournaments.

For future events I would ask that you consider BogStandard Liege FC, but as of now we are not quite ready. For that reason I will give you the names of four clubs who I not only believe are up to the challenge, but also deserve it for their hard work within the community.

The four clubs are:

Rocksteady FC
Corinthians
Goldenballz
European All-Stars.

As an individual committed to FIFA clubs and also these forums, I would be very proud of either team representing myself and the fellow community. All four have excellent reputations within the community, but I would say that as a club, Rocksteady FC stand out from the other three, if only in part due to some tireless work in enhancing the way pro clubs is gone about. I personally see them as the yard stick and is where I want the club I am in to get to.

But all four clubs are very well run by polite and courteous individuals and have a very friendly playing staff.

Hey guys,

I know this has nothing to do with me as I'm a PS3 man myself, but after reading this article it would be contemptible if RockSteady FC do not get chosen.

I watched their 10 man team video, after thinking 10 man team doesn't work, and I've got to say, it bloody well does. If I ever ran a club I would definitely consider a 10 man team. I've played against a couple 10 man teams before and wasn't impressed. The positioning was awful, the players were running around like headless chickens, I can tell you now it wasn't a site. But RSFC seem to have mastered the 10 man team as their positioning was brilliant, I was very impressed.

Also, as BritishFiasco said, they haven't got involved in any silly little arguments and have remained professional throughout. If I had an XBOX 360 this team would be the only team I would want to play for as I'm sure they have some great admirers. Thats why I would like to recommend this team for the challenge as they, in my opinion, deserve it.

Fifa Corinthans FC - Application

Est: November 2009

Managers: BlueOggster (37) and xX Gr00vy Xx (32)

BlueoOggster and xX Gr00vy Xx have been Managing and Playing 10v10 since March 2009. Starting out with their team BAPCL from the former community website for Fifa 09.

Representation

We would like to put Corinthians FC forward to play in this event and represent the newly formed Fifa Virtual Pro Association (FVPA) launched 1 week ago, a dedicated site to bring the 10v10 community together for both Xbox 360 and PS3, pulling in VP information from around the net and invite teams to compete in online Tournaments and Leagues.

Experience

6 of us are in our early to late 30's and have been playing Fifa for more than a decade, 9 months of playing 10v10. 6 of the team are in their late teens early 20's. I believe the mix of youth and experience within the team is a great reflection on Corinthians FC.

Community Involvement

BlueOggster and xX Gr00vy Xx have put a lot of time into the community running community websites since Fifa 07. Now focusing all of our efforts on the 10v10 community.

Summary

We are dedicated Managers and Fifa Veterans! with a proven track record of managing a 10v10 team and managing community leagues and tournaments.

Our team are all about Fun and Enjoyment!
