But what do you gain after completing the collection? The collection is not a game it's far from it. The mountain and swimming is just something you can't compare with a collection in a video game. It gives you a REAL LIFE ACHIEVEMENT whilst a video game gives you a VIRTUAL ACHIEVEMENT. And these two you cannot compare as Real life achievements mean a lot and virtual achievements don't mean anything.

Lets say you complete a game. And you get the platinum trophy or all the 360 achievements, this doesn't mean anything. No one cares if you have all the achievements/ trophies for that particular game and this doesn't help you in life. And thats why i'm saying why does the collection make SOME PEOPLE feel like they achieved something great when it doesn't mean anything whereas the people who do it for fun is understandable.

Messi I appreciate that completing the collection would mean nothing to you but for many of us it would provide a bit of closure for what's been a terrible addiction!
I don't think anyone's proud to admit how long they've spent browsing through cards listed for trade but it's what we enjoy and we all had a goal in mind- 100% completion. No matter who you are or what your passion is, when you set an achievable goal and put a lot of time and effort into it it's incredibly deflating and disappointing when you find that something completely out of your control stops you at the final hurdle.
Of course getting 100% collection completion in Ultimate Team isn't something you can put down on a job application or expect a parade for... there's no tangible reward like that. No-one but ourselves know how much work has gone into it, and to be perfectly honest I'm not even sure I'd really be doing cartwheels over it either anymore. It'd just be a great sense of achievement, completion, and most of all relief!

The new version is out in 2 weeks, effectively meaning we've only got that long left to go on UT09 til our patience wears thin. We've been dedicated devotees and consumers of your product, and the least you can offer us in reward is the immense satisfaction that a full collection would bring us. With no updates from Shepherd since June 24th and very little feedback from EA on these forums I'm not holding my breath, but I truly hope this doesn't fall on deaf ears because I'm sure you're better than that. Time to come through with that promise-

tl;dr- Post here if you agree EA owes it to us to assist us in completing our 99% collections!

Excellent post, my sentiments exactly.

I will NOT be purchasing Ultimate Team on FIFA 10 as i have been left feeling both frustrated and let down by EA's unwillingness to let us Complete 09's Collection.

Why bother having a collection at all if you cant Complete it?

Why bother having a collection book in the game if you can't complete it?

I take it your collection is not stuck on 99% as many of ours are?

Why bother having Gamerscores, achievements ,hidden extra's, glitches etc at all. There there because us gamers enjoy them being there. As EA Famously state 'IT'S IN THE GAME'

Unfortunately for us, the missing 6 are not!

Haha I like what you've done there!

Nothing would annoy me more than having absolutely no contact from EA and just letting us drift into 2010 hoping we forget the past. I appreciate that they are probably busy with 2010 now, but to allow themselves to invest all their time in the new FIFA without ever tying up the loose ends of its prequel is a fairly poor display.
If you're listening EA, please at least justify this with a response.

Its not that they wont release the cards. They cant release the cards its probaly another programing error.

Morale for UT09 would not could not be explained. In FIFA10 the new bug is FORM in MM, and a plethora of others.
Just bad programming and weak implementation, and yes no answer will be given anytime dont expect it dont count on it.

Honestly its like when you are little kid and you ask mom to get you Mcdonalds, and instead of saying no she doesnt answer you at all, so eventually you just stop asking and swallow down the lalalala dinner she makes for you when you get home.
Thats how i feel about asking any mods on the forums anything.

They have been instructed to not buy us KIDS any Mcdonalds, because the lalalala dinner is all we deserve.
