Gameplay cards are for only poor or noob players.

I dont mind them as i just take off players that they effect.

All online games have to have a noob option as without it, they wont be able to play...i.e jugger and noobtube on Cod, auto shotgun on vegas etc etc.

Team reduce/boost cards effect all your players on the pitch AND the players on your sub bench. If someone uses Team reduce fitness, there's no subs you can make that will help. Same for team reduce pace.

i've been doing this for as long as i can remember.

lenient ref does nothing as my bench are as good as my starters.

strict ref- useless, my average fouls pre game is below 1.

i always have at least positional reduce pace/fitness. if it's them, 2 of each.
if it's team ones, i'll throw in reduce passing and dribbling just to really cripple them!

1 guy yesterday started using them pre kick off, i left it on my strikers til he was finished. Positional reduce fitness, morale, shooting and strict ref later, pause. sub off 99 Iwelumo and Boyd for 99 Thompson and Riordan. send idiot a message telling him how much he wasted his GP cards and he was about to get taught a lesson.

used reduce fitness on his torres/ villa.

1-0

pause, sub strikers.

reduce fitness team.

2-0

pause, quit after 9 mins.

LOL!!!!!

exactly what i do. only use if they use on me.

Some guy once used all 4 of his on me, like reduce passing, morale, like half decent ones, and i used 1 card: 1player avoid injury. Afetr i beat him he messaged me saying i was cheating by using gameplay cards. lolol, absolute fool

How do you guys know what is being played against you?

I haven't always been able to figure that out.

Personally, I reserve gameplay cards for people who have maxed out their forwards speed and just abuse them all game.

You know, the Torres and Villa combination, playing 1-2's for 90 minutes or just running in a straight line.

Use the reduce speed/accel on the forward, and that is the last I hear of them.

If you are good enough you shouldnt have to rely on stupid 1'2s or ridiculously quick strikers to score a goal.

Well, you could just train up your defenders to 99 pace in like 10 minutes you know. Then you wouldn't have to worry about getting out paced by anyone.

funny that this thead is at the top

I just played a final and recently i'm always preparing my gameplay cards for the finals... my team is 93 91 96 and the guy i played was all 99's. i score an early goal in about the 15th minute and boom he bust out the positional reduce fitness, but he did it on the midfield, which is the worst of the 3 positions to use it on

so then i busted out team reduce fitness and team reduce pace, yellow to rred and positional fitness boost for my midfield... needless to say i had the time of my life... he surpisingly stayed for a while even with me taunting him after every goal and it was 6-0 in about the 60th minute

You can't complain about people having fast strikers, man. That is what the game is about. Making your team how you like to play. If I like a quick team, then that's what I'll make. If I like a slow, passing, dribbling team, that's what I'll make. If you can't deal with one or the other, don't whine about it.

99 pace striker vs 99 pace defender = advantage defender

Gameplay cards can be handy as a retaliation device. I was up 1-0 in a very hard match against a better rated team, he tried to score from kick off so I retaliated with a clock speed card, the 2nd half was very short!

playing the ball around the defence is worse then using cards imo. if someone passes it around their defence switch to ulta offensive and all your players will press for the ball

The player that's affected by the card will have a Green icon under their name if they got a boost card applied to them, and a red one if a "reduce" card was applied to them.

In the bottom right hand of the screen?

Does nothing larger flash up on the screen when a card is played?

What happens when a whole team card is played and how do you know what type of card has been played?

It doesn't tell you what kind of card was played annoyingly. There are little icons which come up in the players name box.

Ah I have probably had loads of cards played against me and not noticed

I expected something to flash up on the screen - like an animation of a card appearing in the top corner or something.

the icons are pretty easy to understand. They match the icons on the actual cards.
