By the way, this is a brill thread, I agree with almost all the main points, if we keep up the GOOD ideas (ie don't suggest rubbish like I've seen in some 'Ideas for Fifa 10' threads) perhaps it may get noticed. Good ideas guys... just wish I had some to contribute

This is what the next UT should be like every point is a good idea. Only thing i would add is gameplay cards should only be 10min and only be boosts your own team. Also more cups as it gets abit boring when finished them all. Cemtitry should be from the country they play in (think this would be the best way as will have alot more options for team) |

Awesome idea. This way youll be matched up with people that have about the same skill as well. Make an online EA league next to the ranked and tournament games, xx divisions with 100 teams in it. You can only play people in your league, and a maximum amount of games that can be played during a week. Every monday the first 10 or so will go up one division. ALso change the training to what it is like in madden ... have the people play minigames in order to upgrade player stats ... unluck those with rare cards and youll only get a chance to do the practice sessions for a fix amount of times ... if you fail, u wont be able to train that player up to its potential max (which should be below 99)

25 coins should be staked on every game that you attempt to enter, that way people would quit out of the menu screens less and if they did you'd have 25 coins from their stash. not much but the amount of quitters i get before i get a game would mean i'd rake in at least 200 coins before kicking a ball.

and hows abouts every fresh player comes with a limited amount of skills. And so the need for silver and gold skill cards. that way you could recreate what's happened in real life with walcott who has all the pace in the world but no step overs and no real skills. purchasing these skills means it becomes harder to get what everyone now has, a 99 maxed out team with 11 players who can do EVERYTHING!!!...no doubt this makes the game unrealistic but it sure as hell makes for one hell of a game of football!!!...
FIFA 09 - Ultimate Team - Best Online Football Game EVER, nothing else comes close. |

Yeah teams quitting out is one of my bigest problem with the UT and and i find myself playing 99 teams alot after i hit 90 myself witch i dont mind as its a challenge and im more likey to get a full game insted of teams quitting out after 7min witch i think also should have coin drop if they quit mid match.

"i also think they should cap the amount of certain players
like 1000 ronaldo's etc " I don't think this would work at all. People would be pretty annoyed if you couldn't add a player because 'the limit has been reached'. Also, if you think about it, it would probably end of having the opposite effect because after a while everyone would be running around with the same 11 players that nobody else wants! haha I also think it would take away from the whole ULTMIATE TEAM concept. (however, I think the whole nationality/chemistry thing has slightly ruined that concept) |

the fact that we're all on here and tens of thousands more on the actually game proves that the ultimate team concept is pretty close to realising the dream of being the best football experience EVER. it combines those youthful years of collecting panini stickers, with a live auction version of the transfer system seen in champ manager, the ability to pick a sun newspaper style dream team, all topped off with the most responsive and best footie engine we've seen to date.

1. Being able to get players to 99 should be made much harder
2. More managers needed 3. Coins should be deducted from people who quit 4. Being the same nationality shouldnt effect the chemistry as much (because as it is you cant really have you 'Ultimate Team' without your chemistry suffering) maybe things like playing for same club and after playing same line up for several games the chemistry should improve 5. Make contract cards appear more often and gameplay cards appear less in packs |

You have to put in a 200 coin bond for online matches before the match. You get this 200 coins back if the match is completed.
Training cards should only work for a set amount of time. (Unless stated otherwise) Scrap gameplay cards Add more leagues. At least add MLS, Turkish, Portugal, Brazil and Holland |

personally all i want is for every card to have a use in the game. At the moment, the eredivisie kits badges etc cannot be stuck in, but understandable if you want to wear them as your team, but what is the point of sas ligue unlock cards, and eredivisie unlock cards??? can someone tell me that????

Wage caps (sort of):
- Each player has a certain amount of money that the club needs to pay them, and your team has a limited amount of money that they can pay. You don't actually pay them with coins. - You can get cards that increase your teams money, but only by small amounts. There is also a limit of the amount of cards you can use. - As you train your players up, their wage increases. This means people can't just train up bronze players (small wages when fresh) to 99 and get away with having an all 99 team. - The cap will be large enough to have a good gold team, but not large enough to have a multiple 99 player team or a team with all the big star players. - Obviously, gold players will take up more of your cap space than bronze or silver players. Players with the same level will not necessarily be the same though, for example a 90 Gerrard will cost more than a 90 Joe Cole. - Only players in your starting XI will affect your cap, so you could have Torres, Ronaldo et all but only play one or two of them at a time. You won't be able to sub on a player if it means going over your wage cap, so you could sub on Ronaldo for Torres but not Ronaldo for a bronze player. - A 99 player will generally take up 30-40% of your wage cap, so you could play 2 or 3 90+ players at once, but you will need to play low level players at other positions in order to stay under the cap.

Stop putting so many gameplay cards in packs. When I get gameplay cards, the are discarded when I'm prompted to do something with my new cards (So only go as part of my team if the area isn't full), no matter what they are. But I still end up having half my new cards as gameplay cards in most packs. Should be getting more players/contracts.

Team chemistry should evolve parallel to the number of games played with the same team/players…
Barca’s 1994 dream team had guys like Stoichkov (Bulgaria), Michael Laudrup (Denmark), Romαrio (Brazil), Ronald Koeman (Netherlands) Real’s Galacticos had Figo (Portugal), Zidane (France), Raul (Spain), Van Nistelroy (Netherlands) And well.... Man Utd has Nani and Ronaldo (Portugal), Anderson and the defender twins (Brazil), Tevez (Argentina), Berbatov (Bulgaria), Vidic…etc etc And they are (will be..?) European Champions so, chemistry has nothing to do with nationality

ok i agree with you on some things.. gameplay cards need to be gone
if they do the "Platinum Legends thing" it should be limited to 2 platinums aloud on the team, or else with in a month of the release all everyones going to have it a whole team of platinums... they need to add MORE leagues, like the MLS, portuguese league, etc. you should be aloud to play a friend in a ranked/unranked match, better searching criteria. MAYBE there should be a card that alows you to change a persons preferred position, but only to a certian extent, for example if you go from the main menu/manage teams/team management/ and then say Man UTd, cristiano ronaldo, r3 to view is info and it says prefered positions RW/LW/RF/RM.. you should be aloud to choose any of those.

SCRAP TRAINING CARDS ALTOGETHER!!! instead make players attributes increase in relation to games played and average rating, plus good coaching staff could help. Make contract cards longer but more expensive, e.g. 40 games, then give players ages so when a 40 game contract runs out they get a year older. players start at 17 and retire at 34, younger players attributes increase steadily while older players decrease. make players that play in the same team together regularly build up their own chemistry over time.
Give teams a star rating for whole squad instead of just the starting 11 of the PREVIOUS match. increase the ratin chart from 1-5 stars to 1-10. Divide them into 5 divisions. eg. Division 5 - 2-3 star teams, Division 4 3.5-5 star teams etc. and league matches are only played from teams from the same division. |

I had a thought for your custom player that you can have a specialist category for him and you can only pick one like.
Free Kick Specialist Passing Master Defensive Specialist Long Shot Specialist Long Thrower Speed Demon Cos at the moment the moment if my guy takes free kicks he doesnt have a special stance like ramos, ronaldo, Ryan Taylor. thats what made me think of it. Also i thought of a competition for a random generated player in an online tournament like they do in Forza Motorsports for a car. that would be a lot of fun. it doesn always have to be a player like torres, just a random generated one that you can see before you enter the tourament. could have Bronze, silver and Gold Tournaments and you need a specified amount of skill points to enter Bronze silver or gold! |

Perhaps you could have the option of choosing a new formation when you win a tournament, all players are trained into that formation immediately. |
