Anyone have any tips on making long shots? I tend to just get it either right over the bar and it hits the net or it's too soft and the Goalie gets it. I play mostly with Brazil.

if its free kicks take their advice. if its live play dont touch LB. but your power should be between half and 3/4 if you are around 25-30 yards out. if you use brazil, practice using adriano and julio baptista they are both great strikers of high speed balls. once you use them effectively you will see that its soooooo easy to shoot from long range.
also keep in mind the dominant foot of the striker... using the weaker foot for a long shot is worthless 97% of the time. i also tend to go far post when trying long shots. you should too |

Thanks for all the tips. I should have been specific. I was asking about live play, but thanks for the free kick tips too. Is there ever a situation where finesse shots are good from long range, or just shoot normal?
