Is there going to be a messenger on the PS3 ?

I was on IGN and i noticed one of the headlines about they are putting MSN Messenger into the Xbox Live package and it got me thinking, how could sony possibly counter that because MSN is the most widely used IM service in the world and sony couldnt get hold of it cause its a part of microsoft, so i thought perhaps PS3 could have Yahoo or something similar.

the ideal choice for me would to be integrate Xfire and it can tell all our friends back on the pc or on the net exactly what game were on, this could also help us join each others game when we are on the PS3.
I doubt this happening but i would love it to
give me your thoughts

Ok this really isn't the right forum.

PS3 won't get messenger. It would be really good but it won't happen

To be honest if the PS3 couldn't get messenger then I don't really think I want the PS3 to have anything else similar. It would be easier to create games with friends that way but it just won't happen.

Xbox already has MSN messenger. It's had it for a good few years now and works really well.
