Interactive Leauge blocked after less then a year

I recently emailed EA about the lack of access to the Interactive Leauge and got the below reply.

I'm sorry that you’re having difficulties with the game. I apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience that this causes you.

Unfortunately the new season will only be supported on FIFA 10, I apologize for any grief this causes you.

Does anyone else think this if messed up, i mean blocking access to a online game mode one with a trophy which without, the platinum trophy is not achievable. This of course is less then a year after the game came out.

This is a bit poor, surely they can't do this?! It's a trophy, if you haven't got it and you're trying to achieve platinum (which I will be soon) then it's a pain! I say that we make a petition for them to remove the trophy for those that do not have it, as I know of no other game that has done this.

Maybe I didn't have access to the internet at home until after the Interactive Leagues had ended. So, I couldn't have got it when it was out.

Wow, somebody got out of bed dodgy today. Anyway, I didn't have internet for my ps3 until about 2 months ago, and even if the interactive leagues were still open then, I still wouldn't have done them, because I was trying to get the other trophies. So don't bother having a go, because you don't know all the facts.

Not sure if you know this but the game is still for sale(out) and still selling extremely well. Unfortunately for anyone who now buys the game on either the ps3 or 360, completion of the achievements or trophy set is not possible.

Also the information provided for said trophy mentions nothing about it being time limited so why would any rush to buy the game and get the trophy? I mean no other game limits the time needed to achieve a trophy so why would anyone assume it the case with this one?

Exactly and the fact there are hundreds of trophy/achievement websites dedicated to such "lalalalalas" with thousands or users. Clearley there are thousands of said lalalalalas who want the lalalalalas trophies.

I like FIFA 09, and I like EA's work, and I always respect how much effort they put in, but this is just another one of their mistakes that I can't see them fixing. I hope that if people REALLY want FIFA 09 platinum, that they finish work on FIFA 10, and then just fix this trophy by either removing it or opening the leagues again next season.

Interactive Leagues WILL reopen - Official Response from EA - PS3Trophies.org

The response in his email is specifically refering to the interactive league where as your just says the new season isn't supported.

Just out of curiosity, what was your original email, the receiver might have though you were on about something else.

Unfortunately the email response in your link only mentions it opening again not that it will reopen for fifa 09 users. Below is my email and the response, i was trying to word my email as carefully as possible so they couldn't dodge the question with something completely unrelated.

My email and the response.

Ive recently got fifa 09 and have acquired all PS3 trophies except "Real world winner" this is because the interactive league is currently not playable due to the fact that it mirrors the real life league and said league is finished for the season. Will the interactive league be reopening for fifa 09 at the start of the 09/10 season? If not can i ask what else you plan to do as it this single missing trophy is stopping me from unlocking the platinum trophy.

Yeah there is no mention of Fifa 09 in the other email.

Plus, your email is very specific and there's no way they could have been answering anything else.

So, again, it looks like we won't be able to get the trophy

yeah this really sucks I have had the game since October and have played it regulary that trophy was stuffed up anyway.

I played 8 games of interactive league won 7 of 8 games and did not get given the trophy it says after 5 games/wins.

I can't get the platium either thanks to ea not supporting lets say the only season that is currently running the MLS.

I hope they do re-open, I'm having the same problem.. its the only one I need (besides be a pro and stadiums, which im gonna get soon), and I want the Platinum.

It sucks only having 3 months, I should have it anyway, iv won 10 games.. but only on certain matches its the real deal, and u need to check the pause menu, and I didnt realise.

I thought it would re-open for a summer cup.. I believe they did that pn fifa 08.

Ye that's because u needed to check the pause menu to see if it says 'Quit to Interactive Leagues manu'. And the game shouldnt go to extra time if its a draw.

It's stupid, and this looks to have cost us our trophy .

The Interactive Leagues should be reopened with some sort of exhibition league or summer cup, so people can get it before FIFA 10.

I dont care about the Interactiv Leagues, I just want the trophy. If it is opened with some sort of new league with International Teams, it won't wear off the novelty for FIFA 10, and it won't stop anyone from buying it.. but if they don't, then that could.

So I say EA - REOPEN THE INTERACTIVE LEAGUES WITH A SUMMER CUP!!
