Default Constant crashing when in "Manager Mode"

I have not that long ago bought FIFA 09 from Amazon.co.uk but the game when on Manager Mode constantly crashes. I was wondering if I could possibly send the disc to EA and get a replacement or from Amazon? I have sent an e-mail to Amazon's representatives but they haven't got back to me as of yet. Any support would be much appreciated.

Thank you fellow FIFA 09 gamers

It's not the C.D m8, manager mode always crashes, only some lucky people manage to go thro 15 seasons with no crash. If you search, you will see several threads about it. =]

Do you have any suggestions to stop it from freezing? It's really annoying when your trying to enjoy the game.

I did read on football world on one of the blogs, many moons ago that it crashes if you sim more games than you play. Dont know wether its true or not.

There are quite a few theories.

The one i believe is about buying scouted players from other clubs. I have been fine in my MM's if i dont buy scouted players.

You could try, resetting your squads, turning off Autosave then starting a new career. then save the game manually every few matches.

I never buy scouted players and mine has hardly ever crashed so there could be something in that.
