Fifa 09's Bulllalalala during Ranked Matches

This is not about cheating it is how the gameplay of Fifa is i play on a default 4-4-2 for any team, and custom tactics are as following

Speed 100
Passing 65
Positioning Organized
____________________
Crossing 50
Shooting 90
Passing 65
Positioning 65
____________________
Aggression 30
Pressure 30
Team Witch 40
Line Offside trap

I don't know how there can be so many breakaway, its completely riducuous, the guy had the ball in midfield gives it to the wing and i only have 2 freaking defenders? and then this is the funny part when i play in Kick Off my defenders stay back and play how they are suppose to play...
What am i doing wrong?

don't think too many people use offside trap for defensive line, they always mess it up for me so i use cover instead.

Put your defence to cover, and put ur speed lower.

If I play low pressure - Cover against someone playing high pressure - offside, my back 4 behave like 60-80 pressure - offside.

Dunno if that helps, but I'm guessing your opponent is using the same tactics so you end up playing 20 men all in the middle making it easy to break down the wings

Dont play with speed 100 unless your reactions are faster then a cat on V.

A tip.. Edit your formation, and move your defenders a little back and set them to full defensive and dont make them make forward runs.

Ea has just messed up with defending in Fifa 09.. Defenders are way high up the pitch and its too easy for strikers to get away from defenders.

If your giving away one on ones consistently learn to defend with attackers and midfielders this way the the back 4 (defenders) will stay organised making it harder to get through. Also when they spray the ball to the winger focus on blocking his next move as its unlucklly youll catch him o just send another defender over. hope that helps.

Ive really started to defend a lot better recently playing manual v assisted conceded 2 one on ones in over 30 games, mainly because im staying organise in defense.
