Ranking points confusion

iv been playing fifa 09 on ps3 for some time now and the one thing that bugs me is the ranking points.

i play my 1st game against someone and when the game ends i get ranking points. then i play again and when the game is over i get no ranking points.
its really weird. sometimes i get points on my 2nd and 3rd game but then if i carry on playing other people or my mate i get no ranking points.

is there a bug or am i not worthy of these points.

very confusing

does anybody else have this problem,

silly question but are you winning?

silly question but are you sure you mean ranking points and not experiance points, the two are VERY differant

It means your opponent didnt have any ranking points.

Set it to play people of a similar skill level and they will more than likely have rank points.

Maybe you were playing unranked in the ones you didn't got points.

let me explain in detail

i was playing my cousin on the ranked mode, and the 1st couple of games we were getting points. he got about 12.500 points and iv got 10.400. (estimation)
then i noticed the points we got for a game was'nt going to our total rank points. so i was still on 10.400 even though we played a load more games after.

the same thing happens when i play other people online. i always play ranked matches.
i get for example +44 points for a win against a guy online but it doesnt add onto my total ranked points.

and another thing i noticed also is my experienced level has stayed on level 9 for ages. how do you increase it. i beat guys with ease and there on level 24 but ranked points is either higher or lower than mine.

so confusing

still dont understand fully , where are you getting the information that you got +44 , by e-mail telling you of the result or are you meaning you can see the +44 thing you mentioned just after the game ?

the +44 is just an example of ranking points i get after i play a game.

its both, i get an email which also tells me of my level and just after the game.

roughly 10.400 but thats a guess.

they'll be EASW points if you have 10'000+, not skill points.

i have about 27000 EASW points left and 2407 Skill points. which can be found on your stats

theres mine. switch the 3 drop down menus to Fifa09, 360 an online to see the full thing, it tells you the skill points on the list of stats at the top. depending on who you play against, what team you use, the result etc...depends on how many skill points you get for a game. skill points determine whether you're ranked or not, not EASW points

yeah that will be that , those are just points that are gained by playing ea games not actual ranking points, the ranking points you get are told to you in the e-mail you recieve telling you the level and result of the games you play ranked .

being level nine i assume your skill points will be in the 2000 range, if your playing against people less skilled then your likely only picking up 3 or 4 points a game etc.

i have 2407 an im lvl 18. you start on 500, its apparently 1 lvl per 100 points until you get too 2000, when im told its 1 lvl per 200 points, so something to that extent
