Game quiters/game problems

Now i know that everyone has complained about the fact that some people have found away to quit so that you don't recieve any points for the win. Well just now i was playing a fifa match i was Ac Milan vs Man Utd ....i went 1-0 down early in the first half but in the second i came through to take the lead 5-1. We got to the 90minute mark and the added time popped up on screen just as my opponent was about to shoot the game had frozen and the lil circle on the left hand side had appeared, which happens when its laggy or the opponent has quit.
Once the little bar came up saying opponent had quit i went to the mini-dash board to make sure he had reset his game and i would get the points as this procedure seems to work, i waited 5 mins before quitting. Back in at the fifa arena to my suprise it said "you are not connected to the EA servers" now this meant i had actually lost 3-0 to my opponent when really i had won 5-1

Now im not sure whether it was the guy quitting that lead to my loss of connection to EA to make sure i lost the match or i generally did lose connection to EA, either way im annoyed because i have broken the 3800 skill points barrier just about to make it 3900 but this seems to happen everytime im about to get to 3900.

any suggestions, i know i ranted on a little but this seriously needs to be sorted out...i know fifa is only a game but i think it is unfair for people like my self that play occasionally and honestly and cannot prove my worth because of quitters and other technical probelms.

I don't understand this post. Is there a bug or something so people can quit and it doesn't register as a win to the other player? If so how, and why aren't EA doing something about this?!

No, sounds like he's just been very unlucky and lost server connection in the last minute.

Happened to me earlier this, wasbeating someone 3-1 scored in the 90th min to make it 4-1 he quit and mystreak was -1 from the previous game i lost.

Yeah, its to do with your connection...t hats why he won...nothing u can do about it, it happens

I had the same yesterday, 5-1 up in like the 80th minute and i got disconnected. Nothing you can do about it, it only happened to me once so far so i can't really complain

It might have something to do with your connection if your opponent didn't pause.

just today, i played someone and lost 1-0, but he quit in the after match cut scene, he just gave me a 3-0 win for nothing

Happens to me all the time. I have 180 wins I think around that, and freaking 137ish losses I think. MORE THAN HALF OF THOSE AREN'T EVEN LOSSES! It really really REALLY bothers me how whenever I'm winning, the circle thing you mentioned comes up, then at the home page, it says 'Sign in to EA' then I have to restart my Xbox 360. I deserve a much higher rating than I have and it's all because of my DAMN connection!!!
