Default EA SPORTS - Football Talent Scout

Do you feel you know more about your team than your club's manager? Could you tell your mates how many games your centre back played last season and which foot he prefers to kick the ball with? Are you constantly keeping track of the transfers and youth prospects at your club?

Then EA SPORTS needs you!

Not only do you have to have a football brain, you must have an interest in applying it. It's not just what you know, it's how that's applied to the game in the form of raw data that counts. So, the more you know about that sort of thing too, the better chances will be...

Still reading? Check out the roles below and if you're interested in getting involved, click HERE to fill in the online registration. The FIFA team will read all applications and contact the people they feel best suit the projects on offer.

This is contracted work and comes with high commitment level. A Data Editor is expected to be regularly editing data and must submit data in a timely manner.

Data Reviewer
A Data Reviewer is a dedicated club fan that has the knowledge required to review their team's data and give useful feedback on any changes they believe should be made. The Data Reviewer is a voluntary position and doesn't offer any financial compensation however it's a great chance to fine tune the data for your team in the world's best-selling football game.

Reference Collector
A Reference Collector is responsible for collecting photos and other reference material that may be used by EA to design some of the art assets in EA SPORTS' football games (e.g. kits, player photos, stadia etc.). This is a contracted position and comes with a high commitment level.

CAlum110: Data Editor and Reference Collector are contracted positions, Data Reviewer is a voluntary one. Does this answer your question?

PlayerFCSt: you will get support, of course.

My mate is a qualified coach, I was going to give him the link but I wouldn't want him gathering data of Spurs players. He's got blue tinted specs!

Good idea. Lets hope you get the right persons for the job/s.

Just a few questions for Data Editor
1. What is workload like?
2. When does this start?
3. How much time would this work require?
4. How old do you have to be? 15?
5. How much money could be earned, roughly?

1. You have to make sure the data of your teams are up-to-date before a deadline.
2. You can start anytime.
3. This all depends on which league/teams you're editing. Depends from 1-2 hour a week (IF you plan well)
4. Data editor is a contracted job, so you'll have to be the working-age in your country.
5. Can't say. You'll hear it when you're qualified for the job.

15? If they employ a 15 year old then they're doomed already..

I'm more than capable.
I feel I know more about my team than my club's manager.
I could tell my maters how many games our centre back played last season and which foot he prefers to kick the ball with. I am constantly keeping track of the transfers and youth prospects at my club.

This is for Scotland - I don't know if it is different in England:

1. Age of legal capacity

As from the commencement of this Act—

a person under the age of 16 years shall, subject to section 2 below, have no legal capacity to enter into any transaction;

2. Exceptions to general rule

(1) A person under the age of 16 years shall have legal capacity to enter into a transaction—

(a) of a kind commonly entered into by persons of his age and circumstances, and

(b) on terms which are not unreasonable.

(2) A person of or over the age of 12 years shall have testamentary capacity, including legal capacity to exercise by testamentary writing any power of appointment.

(3) A person of or over the age of 12 years shall have legal capacity to consent to the making of an adoption order in relation to him; and accordingly—

(a) for section 12(8 ) (adoption orders) of the [1978 c. 28.] Adoption (Scotland) Act 1978 there shall be substituted the following subsection—

“(8 ) An adoption order shall not be made in relation to a child of or over the age of 12 years unless with the child’s consent; except that, where the court is satisfied that the child is incapable of giving his consent to the making of the order, it may dispense with that consent.”; and

(b) for section 18(8 ) (freeing child for adoption) of that Act there shall be substituted the following subsection—

“(8 ) An order under this section shall not be made in relation to a child of or over the age of 12 years unless with the child’s consent; except that where the court is satisfied that the child is incapable of giving his consent to the making of the order, it may dispense with that consent.”

(4) A person under the age of 16 years shall have legal capacity to consent on his own behalf to any surgical, medical or dental procedure or treatment where, in the opinion of a qualified medical practitioner attending him, he is capable of understanding the nature and possible consequences of the procedure or treatment.

(5) Any transaction—

(a) which a person under the age of 16 years purports to enter into after the commencement of this Act, and

(b) in relation to which that person does not have legal capacity by virtue of this section, shall be void.

A lot of jibberish in there, but I think the general idea is that you can work if you are under 16, so long as it is not dangerous, like working in a mine or something.

But you don't have to be paid the minimum wage if you are under 16.

Hope this helps!

I'm sorry, but you have to be 18 years or older.

Feel free to join the DB community as a Data Reviewer. You won't get compensation but you can provide feedback, and if it turns out to be valuable and useful you will get your chance in the future.
