I couldn't see a better place to ask this, so I'll ask here in the hope of a response.

Are there any plans to fix the matchmaking for those trying to do the "Duo-Hedgeidecimal" trophy? I mean, are there any plans to either:

A) Filter searching to ONLY find other clubs with 10 players, or
B) Filter searching to a specific second club.

I reckon I've spent a good 12-15 hours sitting in the dressing room, whilst two team leaders sit on the telephone and try to "sync" their searches so we hit upon each other. It's happened on a few occasions, only for a single player on either side to drop out in the process.

Of course, the person with connection issues can then leave, but you are back to square one in trying to get another sync. For the most part, you continually find people with teams of 3-5 people and end up leaving immediately. I would imagine this is also wildly frustrating for the 3-5 people who keep getting snubbed.

It just seems bizarre to me that a trophy has been added where there is actually very little mechanism within the game matchmaking for it to happen. It's at the point where it's not a game, but a chore, especially for casual gamers who can't particularly afford 3 hour sessions each night to keep trying due to other commitments.

I realise some people will say it's only a trophy, but to some people collecting trophies is half their enjoyment these days. Yes, this post stemmed from frustration, but that doesn't make it any less true.

Any chance of a little patch to provide the matchmaking mechanisms required?

Last night I created an online Legue for my buddies and I (PS3) ... we loaded in to the screen before the game starts where you can see each others name and what team they have (after you accept the game invite)... now in FIFA08, we usually could hear each other at this screen and you would just hit "X" to Ready up.. but we couldn't hear each other and WE COULDN"T START THE GAME???? All we could do was back out and try again... so it wasn't frozen since we backed out many times to try again...

I hit every button there is and so did he... couldn't start the game... what are we doing wrong, or is there something wrong with the game? Thanks for any help guys

i think they already fixed it for an update...the codename is fifa10 and will be released @ fall.

Please please help i have been trying to play a two player match either using quick match, exhibition or with having two human players playing on the sam xbox vs and online opponent, as soon as the match starts and the second control stick is moved the whole thing freezes?!?
i have downloaded ultimate team so have been wondering if this could be the issue, at first it would only allow us to play if we went into a one player match and then waited for the kick off and then selecting sides so that two players are playing but even doing that now causes a crash as soon as the 2nd player moves theres analog stick!?!?
i have tried numerous different things but each and everytime it crashes! we have tried using different pads as the lead pad incase it was a fault with that but still nothin!?
any advice would be useful as im having a party friday and if i can play 2 player there will be a lot of unhappy people!?

I've had that happen on my mates console. We solved it by using players 1 and 3 instead of 1 & 2 if you know what i mean

I have no idea how you are going to fix this problem. I am not sure if this will even be read or if I will explain it right.

During me and my friends many online games we have come accross this problem too many times to remember and thought it was time to report it.

I am talking about turnovers

During games a player has possesion (usually in attack)

This player is tackled by the opposition(defender) and loses the ball

The attacker then some how without any pressure on the defender just standing their manages to win the ball back.

This also occurs in places such as the 6 yard box when 4 or 5 players are crowding a small place.

Out of 4 players 1 is an attacker and seems to get tackled two times but still ends up with the ball.

I think FIFA 09 is a great game the best FIFA yet great on the ps3 but I do feel fixing this tackling issue would improve an already impressive game for the 2010 version.

One other thing:

Return or give the option in Manager Mode of having to build the coaches reputation from a low star club instead of being able to pick whatever team you want every season.

In the old versions you could pick any team in the first season but the seasons after would go on your manager rating when picking teams.

I have a problem, I need help.

Ok this morning I bought Ultimate team, I had already had the trial for 5 matches. I downloaded the full game thingy,(purchase). It worked. I played a few online games then i decided to buy alot of gold packs with my leftover Micro****ty Points.

I had A few good players, i decide to play A tournement. I win my first match, then go downstairs to get something to eat. I turned my XBOX 360 off before i went down.

Next thing I try enter Ultimate Team from the FIFA 09 Menu it loads to "ultimate team" video scene.it plays a bit of music then freezes at a black screen, I must turn off my console. I want an answer from EA . I spent my Hard earned money on them Points and I cant get it working..

What's with first time passing on all manual settings?

Every time I press pass before the ball gets to my player to play a first time pass he hits it miles away.

All I do is tap the pass button and my player smacks it away up the park.

I had noticed this on the xbox version previously but I was playing the PS3 version tonight and it happened every single time.

Has any other manual users noticed this?

Here are some things that I have noticed since the last update.

1) When the ball goes out for a goal kick you can't get your player back onside like an invisible wall has appeared in front of tge last defender.
2) Online Club team stats don't go to 85 overall and you have to keep restarting just to get a fair game if you are a lower league team.
3) "Game timed out before you were ready" or "check for squad updates" 3 times over and kicking back to dressing room.... happens loads of times when searching for a match.

This is just a couple I can think of off the top of my head and I apologise if they have already been posted.

Hi my name is matt, and Ive tried all the fifa games since 06, and like on 07, it is much too easy to loose the ball and to take it away from the computer, why on such an advanced system like a xbox360 cant there be sliders to change the rate of tackles like on games like madden football. I think that would be a great improvement to the next title, allowing people to tweak the game to their personal needs, because the game (None of them) just dosen't feel right, it needs to be more tight, like with UEFA euro or pes, more tight and slider bars to custom would be excellent, especially when your paying $59 dollars for a new game, please take into consideration.

Pls mr ea sports man my favorite mode is the manager mode. can you update the mm so different weather conditions are available at different times. It is always sunny. playin a efc match in sunlight is a real bummer. Thank you.

I was playing arsenal v man yoo and I scored with r.v.persie and he was credited with an OG, the other team got the goal and the game restarted. It was an online ranked match. Has anyone ever seen this happen?

ps. i still won 2-1!! or 3 nil???

i hope EA makes Club matchs with dedicated servers on FIFA10, its hard to play with 1 player only, and when the game lags its even harder. also fix the headset problem, sometimes we cant hear our team mates. a lobby for clubs would also be nice, easier to find a 10v10 match, or organize a clan/club match.

if my club wants to play vs a friends club, we have to send PM's all the time and make a count down to press X at the same time and hope that the game matches us, thats annoying.

it just looks wrong when playing. The crowd are not that far from the pitch at Anfield, its as close as OT and Stamford Bridge, it doesnt have an english/Anfield feel.

Hi, when putting the game on this evening i was asked to download the latest ps3 software update which i did. Now every time I play a match it runs ok, but when i go to play the next match the game now crashes.

The game cuts to the arena after i press start match, everything runs ok but soon as it makes the transition to the stadia. The arena player is replaced by my teams goalie and the outfield player ends up in goal, and the game just freezes.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Ok I like the game but one thing annoys me every time i play:

The ball is 'loose' and there's two players running for it, my defender and the other teams foward... Now, in most cases the foward is quicker, so I wanna take on a defensive position already instead of hustling for the ball and losing it! However the AI forces the player to run towards the ball, and I must cancel his run every time with L+R triggers which makes me lose time, especially with some lag online...

Why can't the player be unforced to run towards the ball? I want freedom, if perhaps there's a way i can tweak this let me know please or else fix it! thankss

Great job on FIFA 09 I love it. I have one small issue that annoys me

• Start manager mode as a english premier league team
• First few games play very badly and lose most (I was learning how to play)
• The crowd in the stadium gets smaller
• When you get to grips with the game and start winning the crowd capacity doesn't increase. It always looks like I'm playing in a half empty stadium even though I'm now winning the premier league
