Rutter - Gameplay?

Everytime I play this game over the last week I seem to be getting more and more frustrated. Before fifa online was excellent! Now online gameplay is awful! I want to know what possessed you to change an excellent game? And are there plans to change it back to normal after all the negative things people have said about it? I know many people will change back to pro evo if this isn't fixed back to normal soon!

Problems

1) Passing is awful struggle to make a pass to reach my player!
2) Defending has changed people run through my back four somehow? No im not a bad player was ranked in the top 200 recently.
3) Once you press a button it takes a second for the game to respond to it!
4) There is increased lag!
5) I am getting beat by players who can't play the game!
6) My players feel all slow
7) The start menu is tediously slow!

Who else is experiencing this share your views cheers!

Youre imagining it. Its youre opponents' tactics and lag combined... Lag+ high pressure+ 5 star team using noob who only runs with ronaldo= Loss.

Sorry, it cant be stopped.

I'm not imagining it at all. I have played enough games to realise the gameplay has been ruined. People are obsessed with Ronaldo on this board he is not to blaim for every problem in this game! How many other people are experiencing probems I am?

You' re mistaken.

We've been testing this A LOT with members of this very forum - and there is NOTHING that has changed since the day of release that effects this.

It is true that custom tactics etc effect how the game plays, and how it 'feels' - but there is no change to the underlying game at all.

It's not the custom tactics at all! Over the last week a large majority of people have become fed up of the game. The game has definately changed for some reason? Will it be changed back is the question? By the way I think you've done a brilliant job with fifa 09 just wilalalala played like it did a week ago well done!

Ohhh! So there were changes!

Gameplay is different, might be lightly different, but you know it is different.

Using the tactics effects your team. Your opponent using them effects his team. His teams behaviour may or may not make you 'feel' different. High pressure is quite intense to play against. You'll feel you have less time etc.

This has always been there. I suggest you have a play and see what it's like...

This isn't why gameplay hassuddenly changed. Hundreds of people haven't suddenly noticed a change to the game if nothing at all has been altered lets be honest!

I know what and where custom tactics are, and I've my owns

But you said they had a more important role in the game after the update.

The only thing I can relate to is people just run past you: I've played about 800 online games, had it since day of release, and I know for a fact my defenders didn't randomly do nothing when Torres is sprinting through before. I think they have f****d it up, they just can't be arsed easier to make them wait for Fifa 2010.

It's not just you who has noticed it, a lot of good players have noticed changes in 1 vs 1 games.

The first three have really affected me, and there is definite change in the game mechanics. Attackers seem to have the advantage now, and your defenders seem slow to react, and I'm losing a ton of goals to the players who pick someone fast up front and can run through the middle, whereas before my defence was usually pretty watertight.
It feels horrible passing the ball around midfield now, and even when I'm using a team like Juventus or Real Madrid who should be able to out-pass anybody, passes aren't connecting. If Del Piero and Nedved can't complete a pass, who can?

And if EA are sure nothing has changed with gameplay, then surely you've seen that all Ranked matches are now classed as International Friendlies with non-existent national anthems, countries which did previously have anthems now don't and the position lock in Club games has been changed from 1 minute to 5 minutes. If these mistakes somehow sneaked in, I'm sure others could easily have.

Agree mate thing is good players are getting effected by it the most. I know for a fact something has changed!

No, not really. I'm experiencing the same thing as well as several people on my friends list. I doubt 20 other people I know are imagining it.

Infact if you play an unranked match for example

Chelsea Vs Real Madrid, its titled international friendly and the players are showen standing like they would to a national anthem, whats with that??

The game play feels slower against those who are not 100% pressuring.

The update is a bit odd, but why didn't EA fix the bugs, notice kits errors and add more real goalkeepers kits?

Here is more:

Bugs which was created by patch and things which EA forgot to fix. EA please look.

Something has happened, If you wait next to the defender on a goalkick for the quick tap in if they pass it out the AI pushes you away in a straight direction towards the bottom of your tv screen. Thats is since the update.

Yep. I told people this was in their heads.... Some games I have, I cant use my skill at all, I just struggle. I tend to quit matches very early if they seem sort of laggy, So I dont lose the match, DNF or whatever.
