here's a question that has troubled me since this game launched. How is it that someone who is rubbish (63% passing for chrissake) beats someone who knows how to play football? Oh wait I answered it while I was typing. You don't make football games, you make "football simulators" whatever the lalalala that means. If I want to play as a Championship team and I have 20% better passing, I better be able to beat Manchester United. Just because they won the league doesn't mean they should win automatically. I'm sick of the bulllalalala that testing should catch coming up and biting me in the lalala. Get your head out of your lalala and fix obvious bugs.

This game has been PATHETICALLY laggy online for months now, totally unplayable most of the time. I seriously hope that EA fix the network code for FIFA 10 otherwise I think I'll have to pass. It's not my connection, either - I tried it on a 10meg feed for over a week and it was as sluggish as hell. It's INCREDIBLY frustrating.
Also, if the claims about online matches being totally peer-to-peer are true, then how come an online game the other day ended in the middle when a message popped up telling me i'd been disconnected from the EA servers? I'm now convinced that it's these EA servers constantly 'supervising' the game that is causing all the lag, all the sluggish controls, all the problems in the 'Online Changes' thread. EA - get the message, PLEASE. IT. IS. NOT. GOOD. ENOUGH. |

Apparently EA have said that they've remastered the code for online that should make it run smoother for p2p.
Time will tell if this makes a difference of course.

AMEN! I play realistic team Football, teamwork etc. only to lose out all the time to bulllalalala situations. It's so damn frustrating! How the lalalala does anyone make a Soccer game where all the goals are practically 1v1 and through ball is the one tactic to get through on goal? How the lalalala Rutter and EA Sports, can anyone sprint dead straight and get through a defense? -Nas Esco |

the bug where players fill their teams with superstars is really starting to grind me down. Its cheating and EA are doing nothing about it. In fact online in general at the moment is a joke. Why does it take me on average 10 attempts just to find a game. The session is no longer available reappears time after time. I seem to waste precious playtime, of which i dont get much of these days, just trying to get someone to play against and when i finally do they are always Man Utd/Barca or France (seriously biased stats) or they fill their team with the best players. Its so frustrating and if this is not fixed for Fifa10 then i will not play online anymore. Clubs too has taken a severe bashing since UT has come out. The servers are terrible now and that can take 5 or 6 attempts to find a match. And there is still the real stats bug in Clubs that has not been patched and doubt ever will now. At least can someone from EA acknowledge these flaws so we can be confident of them being fixed come October.

It get's worse. I'm UK based, but last night I was paired against players from Mexico, Brazil, USA, and IRAQ.
For crying out loud, how are you supposed to find a good connection when the matchmaking system is so seriously useless? Are you seriously telling me that there was NOBODY in Europe playing this game? Utterly ridiculous. A complete waste of time. |

I am trying to connect to a friend so that we can play head to head, but I can't seem to get it to work.
I have set up a club and he has been added (he accepted my invite to the club). When I send him a game invite, we run into the same problem as follows: 1) If I invite him, he can not change his team, as it doesn't allow him to. 2) If decides to accept the team showing, we can't get the game to start, as we remain in the same screen that shows our teams selected. (I can select my team if I do the invite, but he can not change his team). We tried doing a quick "random" match and were lucky enough to get each other via this route, but we also can't change the team and can't start the game. What are we doing wrong? I am really at a loss for how to get this going. If I do a random unranked game, I can play against others and change my team with no problems. Is it something in our settings? Our wireless network settings? Any help would be appreciated by anyone. Thanks, Dave |

![]() Anyone from EA feel like replying to the fact that the number 1 club on PS3 has boosted it's way there, making a joke of Clubs mode. Or will this post be hidden like for the others for naming and shaming

EA obviously have no intention of correcting these problems/glitches, due to the launch of fifa10 in a few months, so the best thing for this game is the bin what started out enjoyable and exciting has turned into a deeply frustrating and depressing farce |

I've got a pretty rubbish internet speed (under 1Meg) but it is very rare that I have a laggy game. I can't see how EA are to blame when there are so many people out there who dont have these lag issues you mention.

I have a question for you - Well, it's more of a problem.
I load up FIFA, go to play online, and then 'quick ranked match' or whatever it's called in the English version. I can play one game fine, finish that, then I go to find another game. I find my opponent, choose my lineup etc. etc., then it goes onto the Arena while the game loads. This is where my problem is.. When the screen transfers from the Arena to the Match, it ALWAYS goes black, and stays black. Forcing me to reload the game and start again. I don't know what's going on, and I can always play only one game, then in the second game it does this. Any help?
