[QUOTE=EA_WilsonVenhola;6701200]Hi, I'm back.
I don't know what the exact answer to this is but it's probably ok to say that we did run a script over a history of the FIWC game logs and identified users who consistently exploited the FIWC custom squads bug to gain an unfair advantage. thanx for the answer when can we espect this to happned like tell us this month or this upcoming weekend we are gonna start the banning of these cheats! thanx in advance! |

I did the ping thing and got a minimum of 33ms and maximum of 37ms and an average of 34ms Is there any way of testing the ping to the BAP online club server or is it the same ip? some extra info: gamertag: Glock_NL location: The Netherlands time we play: 7.30pm-10.00pm CET Lag occurs now on a daily basis when playing BAP online clubs. Last two months or so we experienced lag about 8 out of 10 games. Now it seems to have gotten better since last week, but still about 4 out of 10 games have lag. With lag i mean: delay of play, fast forwarding of play, no button response. Last edited by Glock_NL; 05-02-2009 at 02:09 PM.. |

Just a little tip when pinging for quality. Use the -t switch to gatter statistics over a wider timeframe. Ex. ping 159.153.161.74 -t. Abort it after 2 mins or so using ctrl-c. Scroll through the list to check for abnormalities. repeat at random intervals.

Hi Wilson
Thanks for coming on to the forum and trying answer our queries if you can. With regard to player control/passing/shooting let me elaborate it in a more technical vain. Right, when playing with fully assisted passing you aim in a direction and press pass, you can hold pass to indicate that you are passing to a player further away. What happens is I will press and hold pass and a fairly accurate direction (i play friends on manual so am used to being accurate as I can be) but the pass will fall way short. Where as 9 times out of 10 that pass would consistantly cover the required distance. The same with clearences from the box. It comes down to controller inputs not registering. Things like turning and sprinting seem to register later than the commanded action. Another thing that I get from the game is due to this input/lag my AI doesnt react as normal, its slower to close down or when called to press etc will take longer than normal. This varies match to match however. A bigger issue though is that you can use a game control to cause stutter in the game. I can see when my opponent is switching team mentality by the stutter in frame rate. This can be used adversely as you can imagine. I want to elaborate a little further but am pressed for time at the moment but will add more later on. Thanks Glen

dear wilson and co.....
i have repeated the ping test results,also the voip quality which came out good. i also sent this to ea tech support some time ago with no reply. i have had my line tested,router tested and also my ps3.... so my suggestion is this,stop asking us if we have our correct ports open and dmz set correctly and start looking at your server as it is clear info is being lost on the route back or do we have to wait till fifa10 is out. i am awaiting your response.

most issues are due to Router settings and what priority the ISP have on this kind of traffic. Also some ISP's are very unstable, especially in the UK. I know there are a few experts out there, but remember, a lot of kids play the game, and they have no idea what to do.

i understand your point but how can 2 teams who have the set up ie changed port settings etc carry on having lag. our team and most on here have tried the ea way to no avail. i just dont by that no more,ea have enough relevant information to sort this,the fact they have taken so long too comment has not helped. 2 months later and still no reply from the tech team. i agree alot of kids dont understand router settings but there is a sticky posted with excellent step by step instructions. this game would be even better if they found a fix. also a few of us carried out the ping test with roughly the same results and the same with the voip test.

There are plenty stickies and guides out there yes to fix this, still, it seems someone dont know how to read. I also know a few that had all the router settings good, but still had issues, they contacted their ISP to check on their end, as settings and priorities in their equipment was wrong or out of date.

Enough said yes, well, im not only commenting your posts Jonew boy....there is also other issues. Ports dont affect Teams true, but your ISP do.

Some ISPs have gotten shaky over the last EU rules, where they're forced to ban/throttle users who do lots of downloading from pirate networks. Those use mostly P2P. Problem is that instead of hunting down the ones who's doing it, they block every user out as a precaution. FIFA 1 vs 1 suffers a lot from this ISP malpractice as it's using P2P technology.

Is there some kind of code in the game online causing the game to be in your favour or against you? Differently said, how big is the luck factor? Can I make the same pass/shot given the same circumstances or is it different everytime I pass/shoot?

REGARDING FIWC 'Cheaters'.
I've mentioned this a couple of times - but the definitive answer from EA at the moment is... We've notified FIFA of the people who have been cheating. FIFA will decide how they wish to proceed with dealing with cheats. Not EA. FIFA will communicate what happens. What I will say is - if you haven't been cheating - keep playing. The outcome should be fair. D |

answer me this then why have u not put a update on the ea website about the fifa winter transfer update and when u look at the france ea website they update better then the uk website and i want the people that made fifa to do a game play each month so that the bugs or glitches dont get involved and that you change each footballer's face, body, boots,hair etc and that u make more fifa modes one of them being the (uefa champions league) please ea do this update i dont care if it takes a day or a week to do i would be more happy if it was done. And instead of ea doing a transfer update each season they should add a (fifa transfer update list)on one of the modes. which means when you hear transfers on sky sports news you go to the fifa transfer update list and click update.
