PLEASE HELP - Manager Mode Freezing Problem in Fifa 09 PS3 - Page 2

Hi all,

I'm a noob on this forum and only registered to help future guys with the same problem as us.

(I think this should be a sticky at top level of this forum or there should be a 'Tech Support' area)

I bought a PS3 and fifa 09 (and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - awesome !!) and had problems half way through the first season of my Manager Mode (MM) - which totally puts to bed the discussion/suggestion from EA saying that "the data gets corrupted as the save file gets larger" - my save file is about 3600kb not got any bigger or smaller since i started playing the game...

My point is I don't use the autosave feature (long winded reason about the game cheating in older versions on PS2!!!) so I deliberately use 2 game files - particularly during the transfer window (put many bids in for different players and make sure you get the right ones etc..) and this is the important point:

USE 2 DIFFERENT SAVES - a primary save and a backup save

My primary game froze with all the same symptoms as mentioned above in other posts - tryed to load it many times and it failed every time.

I tried the backup save that was a few games behind it worked no problem (i'm only 2 games past as worked this out TODAY) so all being well they should be no further problems.

though i'd pass on the confirmation of above suggestions to disable the autosave and use 2 saves to backup.

good luck to all - and hope there is a proper fix from EA soon instead of the masses having to come up with solutions - they should be fixed at source!!
