Player stats??

How can a player become better if you play him out of position?!?

I have a player who is listed as a CF and rated 75

play him as a ST his rating goes up to 76

Weird!

This is because his overall stat is based on how good his stats are for that particular position. Defenders' overall depends mainly on their tackling, strength and heading, wingers' overall depends on speed, stamina, dribbling and crossing, strikers' overall depends on heading, finishing, etc. If a player's overall goes up when you put him in a different position, it means that his stats are better suited for that position.

It gets messier in MM where you use exp points to improve certain stats which makes this more skewed sometimes.
