Do you people have a problem with playing as equal teams???

I have my favourite team set as Reading (yes I support Watford but, this is a game and Reading are a beast team, whilst Watford are....average). Reading are a 3 star team, and lots of people who 3 star teams as favourites see me ready on Reading, but choose to become either a 5 star team anyway or say... a 3 1/2 star team. I then follow suit and become a 3 1/2 star team, and they continue to pick teams better than me, until we end up with him as Man Utd.

Makes me wonder how pathetic people are, do they not like playing against similiar opposition?? I guess they are so bad they need the help.

my default is Arsenal. I play with them most of the time, or if I'm in the mood I choose my fav international sides France or Spain, those are the only 5 star teams I may have ever used online (in BAP). In unranked/ranked, if I see my opponent choose choose a 4 star or lower team I find another team to match. Most times as soon as I reach team select I swap over to a championship side anyway to see who they are going to select first, then I try to give a matchup

I only ever play as West Ham. They are my team, whether I play an Aldershot or Manchester United thats who I choose to be as it is a thrill if I can beat a better team with them..

I suppose though I could definately look at picking Melbourne Victory or Australia as other options if the other player wanted to have a low rating vs a low rating.

What does annoy me is every time I pick England people go International like its illegal to use a club team or something, there its always France, Spain, Portugal.

Why not? Its not illegal to use a club, but they just think its appropriate to be a country. Whats their to moan about anyway, England aren't really worse than those teams.

I av my fav team set at united cus i support them but i like playing wiv lower teams its very rare i can get soemone to play wiv a low team if i pick like blackpool leeds etc they jus tpick top teams i av beat most people tho wiv lower teams when they pick 5* team

it does get annoying, i picked sunderland so they go and pick man u! so i think im going to get thrashed so i changed my team to bayern who are still worse than man u in every position and the guy quits. like they need to be a team thats better than yours

I use QPR in every game.

I don't understand some people.

This guy was Mexico, I think they're 4 or 4.5 star, I joined the game as default QPR, he sees I'm QPR and changes to Barce? I just don't see the point.

Not really. I want to play a fair game, if I play people with a similiar team and win, it shows who is better. Also its my right to play as a similiar team, whilst its just stupid to have to play as a better team. I could beat people with Everton anyway.

best way to get a fair game is to play the same teams, right? i don't think a 1 star difference makes huge difference if you play build-up, let alone 1/2 star.

I always let the opponent pick who they want to be and I match them I'm always on Reading and it's nice when people pick who they support.

Ofcourse 1 star is a big difference.

The difference between Bayern Leverkusen and Reading is huge.

The different between Man Utd and Portsmouth is....huge.

I probably wouldn't mind a 1/2 star difference between lower teams (under 3 1/2 star) but it does make a difference, unless its a game with say the highest 4 1/2 team (Arsenal?) and the lowest 5 star team (Real Madrid?).

i guess i was thinking about lower star teams (2 star v 3 star). yes you're right there's a huge difference between the teams you mentioned, because the individual attributes are so unbalanced at the high star levels.

as for your latter point, you know the answer, some people just want to win, play to win, get enjoyment from winning, unlike others who enjoy playing a good game.

sorry, but if you really support Man Utd then you would never, ever, under any circumstances play as Leeds, ask any real Man U fan

Sometimes I play as ManU, normally when I start getting annoyed that people keep choosing them. So I pick them out of spite and play some ManU vs ManU games.

Even then I put Ronaldo on the bench because he's a lalalalalala.

Otherwise I enjoy being the "underdog" as long as I manage to win.

I am set to PSV, 4 stars, but if opponent is lower stars I switch. Played a couple of great games with Brighton.

Variation is great and there are plenty of people out there willing to be an equal team. I'm a Celtic fan and I've had tons people choose Rangers which is great. I also return the favour and have found myself playing a Bristol Derby, a North London Derby and Even played as Kilmarnock so to match a Falkirk fan i came across. If you come across a gamer like this, add them to your friends list. Build up an address book of fair players and there's always someone on to have you a game.
