Legendary difficulty..

now I have some queeries, questions, what the's and help. so PLEASE read and help me

now, ive taken the step up to this, ive played 3 games, i should have won all 3, but I drew the first 2 and won the second 4-1

anyway, while playing on legendary, i noticed that, well, everytime you get the ball, they are RIGHT behind you to swift the ball right away, now, in real life, would this happen? would the sense that the second the ball lifted from someones feet it would go to there predicted player? that QUICK? and also, they predict the button your pushing wich is VERY irritating.

and I felt as if, they had alot of possesion, but when it came to chances, they missed, or just crossed it alot of the time. im not feeling very challenged, well I am but seriously, my first game and I draw 2 then dry hump a team? wheres the velocity?? Its like someone just went through an entire army to just fall down at the last soldier without taking a hit

Am I the only one that feels like this? that legendary isnt that difficult when it comes down to scoring? on the pitch they are like hotfire, and I like it, I get possesion, I lose it, its a tight game. but I feel like I cheat the whole time or just get frigging lucky

and also, I need help with my defending, timing and tricks to get out of sticky situations. and also tactics. when they know what button your pushing it can get frustrating

Okay lets slide berbatov while going at 5kmp. NO he moved, NO he turned and got fouled. NO he passed it and gets fouled

is there ANYWAY to combat this?

Sigh. I thought I went through this with you guys, but here goes again. FIFA 09 is broken, and the CPU uses its "broken-ness" to its advantage. It was intentionally coded to hurt the user, sap enjoyment, increase infuriation. Basically, the people that made this game are evil, and should be kept away from 2010.

Ok here goes.

The CPU uses the already small cramped match box pitches to suit their game. That is why they seem to be right behind you. The picthes are just do damn small. Its almost ignorant to believe grown men made this game.

They defend with their strikers 99% of the time deep into their own pitch.

No matter what team you face, they ALL seem to be back line marshals and play the offside trap to the T, which is IGNORANCE.

The CPU is not interested in playing football, its interested in stopping YOU from playing what looks like football.

They DO read your buttons, that is why they can evade 90% of your slide tackles when walking. However if they are running or already "locked" into an animation they can be slided. That is why you can BARELY get away with certain dribble moves. They seem very susceptible to step overs ( somtimes ) and a roulette spin ( sometimes )

They take the ball off you when not humanly possible.

They aim to hurt your player not get the ball. If they get the ball GREAT, if not you player is floored, no biggie. They know they'll only get a measly yellow after repatedly lying down on your players. They'll do this numerous times, even when carded and get stupidly sent off. No worries, they just play the most defensive 4-4-1 and then wait for that "perfect" through ball. To either score, shoot wildly get a corner and THEN score

They exploit the horrid engine. God trying to clear corners can be a nightmare 60% of the time.

Most of da things you both said is true....but try this

Save your custom tactics to certain teams you want to play against. Basically I play against my own tactics when offline and I have to admit...FIFA 09 is da GREATEST game CREATED.

When you make the cpu play against you with your own tactics, the games on legendary mode become more fun and more REALISTIC. This is assuming you have setup a good custom tactic. PLEASE GIVE THIS A TRY...I used to hate fifa 09 b/c yes the cpu was just a waste of time to play against...but after playing against a team with my own tactics...I GOT A CHALLENGE.

P.S. I like playing a possessive game with long shots from da outside...can you believe it...the CPU w/my tactics was actually taking 30 yards shots...tryin to bend da ball into the far post.

How is the pitch too small? I know it seems a BIT smaller then usual, but any bigger would just make the game feel a bit.. weird dont you think?

I think world class is the proper difficulty to play this on
