This is why PES is unrealistic in my opinion. In real life when you think about shooting, the ball doesn't instantly fly off of your foot, you must first set up the shot or pass depending on your run. It's the details like this that has boosted FIFA well beyond PES. FIFA is progressing whereas PES feels like the same game with different box art and numbers in the name, otherwise it's exactly the same.

I myself was also a die hard PES fan, FIFA 08 converted me. This is also the first year I won't be buying PES.

i generally play both games and find fifa wins hands down most of the time. but the become a legend mode on pes is way better than bap

To answer the thread question yes FIFA is way far ahead of PES.

BAL is good on PES, and could continue to develop.
Overall though online and better overall gameplay on FIFA makes it better than PES imo.
Both offer good and bad things though, neither is exactly perfection.
FIFA has greatly progressed since I last played it though tbh.
PES was very average this time around and I heard some good things about FIFA09 and decided to give it another go. FIFA is heading in the right direction, while PES has stagnated. I've enjoyed it so far. Overall FIFA is now way ahead in overall presentation and progression on next gen, although I haven't played much offline.

There is no way on this Earth that PES 2009 is better than FIFA 09. This shouldnt even be compared, please. FIFA rules all.
