Create A Team

Does anyone else think that a Create a Team feature would be a good addition to the game. I know this has been in previous editions of Fifa before but to improve on this further EA could also have a feature called Create a League. Then this combined with Create a Team would be a good combination. I don’t mean a League where you just play for one season, with this you would be able to use the League in Manager Mode so you can play a proper career within it.

Also this could be Community driven so knowledgeable Fifa players could Create Teams which arent in the game such as the teams in the Argentine League for instance. Then they could set the player stats as accurately as possible, put in the Teams emblem and even use a photo of the player so their face is in the game if Photo game face is in Fifa at this point. Then people could upload the created Teams and League online for people to download. Imagine being able to download any League of your choice within minutes such as the Argentine League or Greek League.

To summarize, this is what the feature’s would consist of:

Create a Team

- An Option to Create your own Team either Club or International.

- Ability to add the Team emblem from an image file on your HDD. Of course the game would re-size this if necessary so it will look just right on the menu’s.

- Photo game face feature so if you have a photo of the player you can add it. If not, there will be a large variety of Generic faces to choose from so you can get their appearance as accurate as possible.

- An Option to upload your created Team(s) online so you can make them available for Fifa players to download.

Create a League

- An Option to Create a League and specify exactly how many teams there are in the League.

- The League can be used in Manager Mode.

- You have Options to set the structure of the League so for instance if 2 teams from the League your creating get Champions League qualification you can set this. Also you can specify whether the League will have end of season play-off matches.

- The ability to add more divisions. For example the Football Conference consists of three divisions so you’ll be able to add these if you want to.

- If the League your adding isn’t a Premier League. ie, your adding the Football Conference you’ll be able to set it so 2 clubs from the Conference get promoted to Coca Cola Football League 2 and of course by doing this, the game would then make the 2 teams who are bottom of Football League 2 relegated to the conference.

- An Option to Create a Cup competition. Most League’s also have Cup competitions so you’ll be able to add this as part of the League set-up and specify how many rounds there should be, whether there will be 2 legs or only 1 leg per game, which Stadium the final should be held at, etc…

- An Option to upload the League online.

I'll be honest, creating leagues + teams is doesn't really bother me that much but one thing that I 100% agree with in your suggestions is the Photo Game Face feature. With the addition of Be a Pro seasons in next gen, this feature is well overdue, hopefully we'll see it in 09.

TBH it doesnt bother me much either imo but ive seen quite a few threads where people are requesting league's such as the Greek or Argentine. this would get around the problem of EA aquiring licences for them. Plus it would be good to start from the Conference all the way up to promotion to Premiership,

Only through a mode if you ask me else it changes the realism in the game hugely as you usually nick alot of good players, But that's not to say i'm arguing

it would be more cool to use the x box camera thing to take your own picture and put your own face in the game. would rather have that than create a team....but would like both if Santa feels we've all been good enough for next christmas!!

great idea but i think adding a league that someone else made might be favortised, for ex. say liga portuguesa was not in the game, i could then make porto and sporting suck, and have benfica be better than man utd, so yes it is a good idea but i wouldn't want to download something from an unprofessional person. Anyways good idea, and i hope EA consider it.

so true, perhaps a limited amount of exp points is needed, they should just give us more points, so players could be something like 70- 80 and not 60's. and i guess it depends on the honesty of the player to... + there should be a MM version of be a pro for the created teams, so we can improve all players and not just one...

yeah, well players will always find a way around the limits, but again it depends on their honesty like i said, besides i dont see how a player would benifet by cheating, jus make sure you cant use a created team online, lol players would go crazy...

It would be fully editable so once you have downloaded the 'Liga Portuguesa' for example, if you find that the ratings for Benfica are ridiculously high you can edit them to their correct value's.

But that is the beauty of being able to download Teams which the Fifa community have created. Out of all the millions of people who play Fifa worldwide im sure there's many that would be prepared to Create Team's for others to download therefore saving you the time to do it all yourself.

I don't think it would be cheating if you used it in Manager Mode as long as you only download Team's that have realistic player ratings. and as i said above, if you find that some players are rated to highly you can change them to their correct rating before you start your Manager Mode career with the team.
