Today i would like to declare my love and soul to FIFA 09, i've been a FIFA lover since 96. There are no other football(soccer) game in the world that can top it.
Yes every year we are promised with great eye candy and sometimes EA fails to deliver, but on the good note is that FIFA 09 is alot better then all other previous titles and this year alone FIFA SH*T on PES. I think this year's game was almost perfect in terms of online play and gameplay i know many of you care about manager mode and would like to have more control over your concession stand sales, team gear sales, actually see your manager sign the contract or see a news video hightlight in the game like in real life. IF EA added some of the cool features manager mode has in Madden the game would then be great. In madden the be a pro you have control over everything and anything not like in FIFA. but anyways guys this is a game there will be glitches and EA always has an answer, they did already release 2 patches for you something they did not do last year. Stop complaining about the game and ask yourselfs why did i buy it in the first place, if u hate it so much go play something else. FIFA has already been nominated for many VIDEO GAME Awards this is a new direction in FIFA gaming and with the likes of tournaments like www.fifa.com/fiwc on PS3 and Gillette Champions Cup XBOX360 and WCG Official Website on PC FIFA will grow even more. Please post your loves and hates about FIFA 09 |

great award: GameSpy: FIFA Soccer 09 Review
and FIFA Soccer 09 (Xbox 360) I think if they had an official EA FIFA Tour Challenge every year at the same time and do a would tour it will be even bigger. |

also on pc u can select keeper on dead ball situation by pressing R3 (i play with a PS2 to PC adapter and then u turn into the keeper, its great for when you are against direct free kicks too bad ps3 dnt have that feature yet.

I like it.Ranked quick play? What you mean all the Man Utd - through ball through ball through ball - exploit the goal from kick off - quit if you're losing gaming that's going on?!?

everyone plays fifa differently some people know how to handle throughballers
others complain, there isn't a set way to play the game people utilise their skill the best that they can.I play real footy with the nice passing and switching of the ball from one side to the other and i win games like that. u also need to know that people who use exploit to win could be guys who never picked up a soccer ball before and dont know the game.add me on psn FreedomGamer |

I can't believe how often I play this game. It's easily my most played game. I have a 20gb HDD for my 360, and can only install 2 games. Guess which game is one of them. |

FIFA09 is the best footy sim every full stop (apart from Football Manager obviously). I generally don't bother coming on the forums here because it's full of whingers. It's amazing how many people whinge on and on about the game and yet are still playing it come the following year's release. Only Fallout 3 has torn me away from FIFA for any length of time since October which says a lot

I, PakSim786 also love FIFA 09 and like the new online features on PS3, it's just fantastic to play. But to be honest really, they should've put the UEFA Champions League in manager mode and the name of the ENglish Cup isn't named correctly, it should be the Carling Cup.

But did anybody else here buy this year's pro evo?
I did - I thought the demo was great. Something happened though with the real game. It just seems incredibly... wooden. I'm not saying I'm done with it, because I never really even started with it! Maybe I'll return to it in the springtime and see if I've missed the boat on this one. I hope I did. I have a feeling that the offline game of pro evo is probably a lot better than what I gave it credit for. I only played about ten games before returning to FIFA. |
