Offline all the way. Too many idiots online for me - it's a farce. Try starting a manager mode on world class in League 2 and don't throw your toys out of the pram after 20 games and it can be very rewarding. I only play against mates 1v1 because online is full of lalalalas who care more about how many different boots you can get in the game rather than playing footy i.e. like a lot of people on this forum

There are always people who claim it's "easy" and that they never lose.... easy to do when you don't have any way of proving anything..................

I know exactly what you mean with your statement. It's tough - really tough. Especially if you're started a new game and your manager rating is 1. You quickly run out of money.... depending on what you invest your opening cash with your players can be out on their feet after ten to fifteen games.... and then they start picking up injuries.....

Fun though - but "fun" doesn't mean you're always winning.

Absolutely... although I almost broke my controller last night when I conceded a last minute goal from a corner to knock me out of the running in league 2. I reckon with the lower leagues, its' worth signing some 68-75 talent at 250 grand or thereabouts to increase your quality and get in a couple of (relative) superstar loans then spend your other money on upgrading your coaches (especially the fitness coach)

Well, in Manager Mode it's all about money, imo. I spend most of my money on the Stadium, and then cross my fingers for two seasons. If you can last that (you won't be pushing for promotion) then suddenly cash isn't a problem. You can start upping the quality of the players you bring in.

I had Accrington in the PL after six seasons. I never poach players from other teams, and buy in from what is being offered. Free Agents are a God send.

Pity there's no free agents at the start of the game like FIFA 08 but I guess it's more realistic that way - anyway, i guess i've taken this thread off topic so I'd better shut up before an 'online is da besst' idiot starts having a go

Online by kilometers.

I feel like I'm actually achieving something by beating other real-world players and that makes it a heck of a lot funner than offline. I think I've only played 20 offline matches.....

I like online unranked better than ranked, to be honest. It seems I get more exciting and fair games that way. People not doing the same old, same old.

Offline, online, i don't really care, as long as I'm playing a human being. I think playing v. the cpu is really boring at times

It took me 7 MM seasons and 2 BAP season for me to get fed up with offline play, now I only play online because I find that more fun which is great but I think it's easy for us gamers to take online play for granted, it was only a few years ago when we had no choice but to play offline console games and I didn't complain one bit, but after the revolution of online Fifa it's made offline play seem rather boring in comparison.

Believe it or not, but I've only been playing online since January of this year - and I've been playing FIFA since the first game was released well over a decade ago. Once you've played your first online match, that's it, there's no going back - playing against the A.I. just doesn't thrill me the way that playing a real person does.

Sometimes when I'm playing a real person the controller will nearly pop out of my hand from the sweat that's built up.

Sometimes I'll get so nervous that I fear I'll have a heart attack.

Sometimes I'll get so angry that I'll nearly throw my controller at my monitor.

But my god when you win a major game is it ever thrilling - you just can't get that experience from playing offline. It's online for me all the way. Every now and then I'll try to play through an offline season in the EPL, but I always seem to stop playing after about the seventh or eighth game.

Yeah same here, normally if I have just lost my good winning streak I will try and play a few offline games just for a change, but at the most i'll get through 4 or 5 games before going back to online play. Like you said once you go online there's no going back.

I will do so but near x mas time when I have some more free time. For now I enjoy playing ranked games and ranked games inside of WCE the league I run. Very fun taking a team and trying to win a championship. I am fighting off relegation and hoping to stay in Div 1. Check it out if ur interested.
Mate no one is going to be interested in your league, why would I or anyone else want to join a league where I have to PAY a monthly subscribtion just to take part in it, when their are plenty of free ones, conplete con if you ask me, I advise others to stay well clear of this, waste of time....

Offline for me, anyday. But I play only the exhibition matches. The thing about offline exhibition matches is, this is where the game is at its purest form. The AI opponent is as tough as we create him. He is the monster that we build and create. My AI opponents are very good and challenging because I have adjusted his custom tactics so that he plays a great game against me.

Also, I want to play a good game of football. I love slow build up play with tactical battles in it. In online, I might get 1 such match in every 10. In offline, it is 10 out of 10. Also, the match ups can be just perfect in offline unlike online where you have less choice if you can't keep waiting for a good matched up game.

My best games have been the likes of Everton vs Villa, Roma vs Fiorentina, Villareal vs Atletico, Napoli vs Getafe, Celtic vs Ajax, Newcastle vs Sunderland etc. Will I get to play these match ups in online and how often? I'll only get tired of the 5-star nonsense in online.

Offline

How many different teams to you play with online?
How many different teams to you play against online?
How many realistic games do you play online?

Offline gives you a more realistic game. It gives you the chance to be whoever you want to be against the cpu without worrying about your pointless rating. You can pick your opponent and your opponent's skill level. No lag, no trash talking, no Man U, no quitting.

Offfline gives you a realistic football simulation, online gives you an arcade.
