I myself always swap between Ajax, Leeds, and Sydney FC. These 3 teams are all lower than 3.5 stars.

Most people using smaller teams, find it frustrating that even though we have a 2.5 star team, the opposition will insist on using one of the 5 star teams. Honestly, I don't really mind playing these higher teams because when you win it is very satisfying and you know you have deserved the win.

But, I think online, the true satisfaction comes from playing with 2 small teams. This way, players can't pass to any super quick and strong players to run rings around the defence. It forces the players to use smart tactics, playing possession football and creating good opportunities. In the final minutes when it is 0-0, you aren't tempted to pass to Torres to sprint past everyone and bury a winner from 30 yards out, instead, the tension grows and you just have to wait for the killer pass to grab the win. These are the really enjoyable games. This is where the true football is played, not the boring and predictable kick and chase.

So, for those of you saying, 'Well why should we change to a small team???". There's your answer. Your missing out.

Ya ya...everyone here "claims" they use these 2 star teams or whatever yet I've come across maybe just a handful of matches online where an opponent originally has a low ranked team on his screen before he changes it because I have a high one. So I guess all of you low star team players must be playing on Super Nintendo because I dont see any of ya on here dawgs.

Well, consider how many people play online. Then consider how many people use the big teams.

The ratio is about 25:1
Every 25 games you play, you will come across probably 1 player using a low team.

I've only every had someone choose a team lower than 4.5 stars when they were ranked number 12 in the world and were actually good at the game. They chose the 3.5 star Hull City.

Everyone else uses: Man U, Barca, Inter, Chelsea, Spain, Milan. Which is good for me because I always use Chelsea, Spain or Liverpool.

Some people who use 5 star teams get frustrated when people use 2 star teams. Its no ones obligation to play as a rubbish team, its obviousy that people would rather be good teams because they are better.

I find good teams are more enjoyable rather than slow 2-3* teams, I always play fair teams though

i ain't changing to a lower team when someone else has a lower team.
they can play or quit, i don't mind. ea should just make some filter for 1,2,3,4,5 star teams when searching for a game in quick match

but i wouldnt say poeple are doing this in 300 games i think i only played one that was 3star

Yes they have, but they don't have the silly shooting and passing abilities of the higher ranked teams.

Lost heavily online last night from scissor-kicks, headers!!, volleys and long range shots most from 25+ yards out. Come on! 2 bicycled 25 yarders in a row. That's just silly. He had 7 shots and 6 goals. Passing percentage of 88% and mostly one touch passes! Give me a break.

Let this be said: I DON'T mind loosing heavily to a good FOOTBALLER. But to nitwits, that's a different storry all together.

The combination of 5 star teams and assisted passing/shooting is what ruins this game. And the assisted through-ball is just ridiculous. Speed freeks which pumps 20-30 through-balls from their own half, that's bull.

Go to easportsfootballworld and look up MrStacky. I always use 2 star teams. and the guy who started the thread is right, the football becomes more realistic if the opposition uses a lesser rated team.

Blalalahe amusing thing I have found when using a 2 star team is not a single person i have played who used a 5 star team has accepted a rematch where they play as my 2 star team and i use their 5 star team. Not a single player.
