Liverpool lost to Tottenham twice, and they are just too lacking of overall quality to be a top team in the world. They are on the very edge though, like Valencia and Atletico. If its on who is the best RIGHT NOW, then I don't think Liverpool.

Arsenal are having a bad patch and maybe its undeserved with all the key injuries they have......if they had a full squad maybe they would be a top team. Man Utd are on good form, and so are Chelsea (both as always)....and have to be in everyones top 5 automatically.

Barcelona and Real Madrid too, they top the La Liga, which is equivalent to the EPL (but the EPL has the Champions League finalists), and all leagues come under that. I would put Serie A 3rd, and then German with French just behind.

So......

I am a Madridista and hate Barca, but I must say on recent form, Barca would have to be placed in the top spot purely for the fact that they play fluid, almost sexy football and their results over shadow most clubs in the past two months. I am glad they only managed to draw against another Madrid team, but from you could see the intent from Barca, and were powerful in attack and very forceful.

Thanks guys keep your comments coming in ive just read the whole forum then coz i havent been on since friday .. some really really intresting conversations seems its become the battle of the nations now haha, an ive noticed alot of people are basing arguments on single matches which i personally dont agree simple reason being My Team Liverpool have beatin Manchester united an Chelsea this season quite convincinly aswell we played really well against chelsea we fully deserved the 3 points we ended there 4 year unbeatin run at home , we showed crit an determination against united we wer down 1-0 in the 1st 3minutes an come back to win thats not easy especially it bein united they dont really give up leads , but them results dosent nessicerrily mean were now better than man u an chelsea so i wudnt judge teams being better than others on single matches because we all now football is a funny old game . thanks

Hmmm Just there is another club in Spain which is Athletic and they are quite different teams but you wouldn't know that. A competition for Europe's elite is a bit different to cups which club's couldn't give two ****s about. You have no clue about anything. Hmmm Intresting about Liverpool not being 1 of the top teams , ino i'm a fan but heres my opinion why they are 1 of the top teams an even if i didnt support Liverpool theyde still be 4th on my list heres my reasons.

OK OK we havent deliverd in the league an i undestand that fully an thats probly why alot of ppl havent put Liverpool in there top teams but In the CL Liverpool are the most consistant team over the last 4 years thats fact, we are ranked number 1 in the overall europrean rankngs over the past couplea years , an weve show were a consistant team by are performances an weve show we can beat the best ona regular basis, Juventus Chelsea Twice, Ac Milan, Barcalona, Inter Milan, Arsenal. last 4 years 3 semi finals 2 Finals 1 CL! Thats The Simple reason Liverpool IMO are a top top team an can beat the best on a regular basis!

What are you talking about???? I never said Atletico are BAD, I never said they are amazing. So what if they just got into the Champions League, look at their team, it is on par with Liverpool's indefinitely.

Carling Cup I could maybe understand....but we have been in the FA cup semis before, teams do care about this cups....if you don't you are stupid, theres only a few trophies out there to win, and these are worth winning.

ALSO....Ofcourse I know of Bilbao, I'm big on knowledge........a reward for playing Football Manager.

The biggest trophy to an English team is the English Premier League, especially to Liverpool. All the top English teams want to better their rivals, and if you come 4th in the EPL and fail in Liverpool's eyes the Champions league is quite a nice bonus but its not the golden one.
