This ****es me off too, even most of the times i win the match against those Man U noobs. I always play with Lyon or Roma , Man Ud, Inter, Barcelona and Chelsea are for non-skilled players.

Playing against Man U all the time is getting annoying. Especially when you select either

A. A team that isn't a 5 star team and

B. You select an international team.

The second one is even funnier because I can picture the guy at home hyperventilating over the prospect of playing as Man U. "I has to be Man u cuz dey r 1337. Con't rizk loozing my ranks!!!111!!!"

At one point it got so bad that I decided to make Man U my "favorite" team to discourage people from using them. However as soon as I got off Man U there was my opponent making a mad dash for Man Noob. Hell sometimes I would be paired with someone who also <3 Man U and they still insisted on playing as....Man U. Even when I selected Man U as well just to spite them they seemed perfectly happy. So long as they got to be Man U. Then they wonder why you leave before the match starts.

Thats why I play unranked these days . Personally Unranked matches seem to be much more enjoyable then ranked matches.

In unranked matches people are less inclined to use one of the Man U teams and more inclined to play fair matches as they don't seem to feel the pressure of "risking" their rank with a lesser team.

On top of that I've noticed that more people play fair when it comes to the actual game using less reckless slide tackling. Maybe thats not a whole lot but lately I've only been playing ranked matches when I get stuck with Mr. "I have to be Man U" on unranked matches (obviously less people play unranked).

I always pick A.I.K.(it's a team in tockholm for those who didn't know that) but my favorite team is set as Chelsea in the game so my opponent always pick either Man U or Inter.

Wasn't there plans so you could make your own team, using existing players, but they could only have a max of 85?

It's soo annyong how everyone seems to a pick 5 star team. Maybe one incentive would be to award less points if a 5 star team beats a 2 star team, while if a 2 star team beats a 5 star team, more points are awarded? A bit like the Fifa World Rankings.

who the **** are any of you to say who someone can and cant play with. its a game, if you dont like who they play as then don't play them. what are you going to achieve coming on here and declaring that everyone who wants to play as a certain team are wrong. Most people play the game to win and most people don't like a challenge, if it annoys you that much just play unranked games, nearly no one goes united.

its just a joke that you come on here and try and get all high and mighty like they are below you because of a computer game and what team they pick. get a life

My favourite team is Man Utd (so on the game obv they are set as my fave) but I go on and pick Chelsea as I dont like using Man Utd as most people quit due to them all being speed freaks.

I think a distintion should be made here, It is really annoying of course when people just choose Utd or Barca so that they can win but you will never get over that.

I also think it quite sad of people who cannot tell the difference between real life and a video game. People who stick just to one team are quite sad also. I have a team in real life like everyone else and I'm fiercely loyal to them in REAL LIFE but this isn't real and I like to play as other teams as well, usually from the lower leagues.

There are teams I won't touch of course by why would you fork out £40 for a video game and only play as one team out of the many on there? Seems daft for me.

I don't play online at all as I think it is ****e (people mainly) so I stick to mm, I have one as my favourite team as I'm trying to get better and one as Aldershot, it is so much fun playing a team from a lower league and if you manage to beat a higher team in the cups or whatever it is so rewarding.

Are lower league teams or leagues used online now?

Lol yea that is how my friend is. My favorite team is Chelsea so I use Chelsea online, but when I play against my friends I just use whoever comes to mind but my friend insists on using Chelsea. He says he is a fan and that his favorite player is Anelka but he doesn't watch their games and doesn't even know any of their other players..... He just says why change what works, but he sucks haha. So kinda stupid.

I'm the same - although if they switch to a 1,2, or 3 star team I will probably change to a lower league English side.

Even the thought of using anyone else from top flight football makes me feel pretty sick, it just feels wrong.

I think I'd vouch for him being very, very sane infact - he's talking a lot of sence. I'm a supporter of Arsenal for 25years+, and even at a very young age knew that Gooners & Spuds don't mix. I would never want to be assosiated in any way with their club, on a game or real life.
& RE: the Chelsea/Roma bit, in what way are they rivals?!! Granted, they are playing for the same honours in Champions league, but your definitely in the minority if you think they're rivals!

Completely agree - if the spuds got updated and through some glitch or mistake their players were all rated 99, I can confidently say, I would never use them.
